Zooper Twist Stroller: Lightweight Delight

51wakazs1ul__ss500_ I’ve been on a search for a good lightweight stroller for a while. I wanted a lighter stroller – under 15 lbs for a while. Dragging my "lighter stroller" at 19 lbs in and out of my car frankly sucked. But now that my son is 21 months, an umbrella stroller works better for quick trips. I wanted to be able to get him in and out quickly of the stroller (in case he wanted to walk) and have a lighter stroller to lift in and out of my trunk. Since it wasn’t going to be my long walks stroller, I could be flexible about some things (it didn’t need to have the greatest suspension for long walks or be able to hold a lot of packages). The Zooper Twist ($179) might just be the answer!

What I was really looking for was an extendable leg rest, recline (should my son ever want to sleep in it), an easy umbrella fold and a sunshade that was going to protect my fair skinned child. The Zooper Twist filled all my requirements and even went further! The 2007 version is lighter (and cuter) than the 2006 version. The leg rest was easy to pull up, the stroller folded quickly (such a perfect umbrella fold!) and the sunshade was enough to satisfy me. It even tilted forward for more protection!  I also loved that you could zip off the back for more ventilation (there was black mesh underneath!!)

Img_0852 The recline was a little harder to figure out. But once I got it, it was very easy. The light weight of it (13 lbs) and easy umbrella fold makes this a great car and vacation stroller. I could open it very quickly and I relished the carry handle. It fit into my trunk very compactly. My son liked riding in it and I found it very easy to steer. It wasn’t that tippy and I stuffed a lot into the basket. Though a heavy diaper bag is going to knock it over if your child is not in it.

I would recommend the Zooper Twist as a good lightweight stroller.  I liked that it had the features I wanted and was light enough to take it in and out of my car quickly. I wouldn’t recommend for the long walks that I prefer to take (your babe may be more comfortable in another stroller with a little more suspension for walking). To make this into a long walks stroller, the suspension would have to be much smoother. It fit the bill perfectly for quick in-and-out car trips (you know those days when you know you have to make a million stops and the thought of dragging a stroller in and out of the car is daunting- this made it so much easier on me).  To buy the Twist, click here.

Dad Said It

"Harper was a name that we've loved for a long time for a couple of reasons. Harper is an old English name, and Victoria's favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird."
