It was a great performance. I particularly thought Rod Stewart rocked.

Here's a song that I wrote for Princess Diana that was ultimately turned down by John Reed, Elton John's manager, as a tribute song for her funeral, even before it was heard.

Losin' a Princess
Dr BLT (c) 2007 Smash Records
http://www.drblt.net/music/PrincessDi2.mp3

John Reed wasn't about to consider a song written by somebody he hadn't heard of. Furthermore, he wasn't too open about my opinion that, no matter how commercially successful, a song originally written for somebody else with rehashed lyrics to fit a new person would be, from an artistic standpoint, in poor taste.

That song, Candle in the Wind turned out to be the biggest single in musical history. But I maintain my opinion that such a tribute it is in poor taste from an artistic standpoint. It's kind of like if a guy, instead of writing a song for his new girlfriend, took one he wrote for an old girlfriend and just changed the words around. Any girlfriend I've ever had, would have thrown a fit if they had found out.

I saw David holding Cruz at the concert yesterday also. Unfortunately it was a shot from far away, so I didn't get a good look at his face, but I think he's very cute. They all are.

I don't think the boys look like each other. You can see the family resemblance but they don't really look identical. But then again, I'm an obsessive fan :D

They showed footage of David holding Cruz during the concert. Cruz looks so much like Romeo! It took me a while to figure out who David was holding. lol
