Here’s a song that I wrote for Princess Diana that was ultimately turned down by John Reed, Elton John’s manager, as a tribute song for her funeral, even before it was heard.

John Reed wasn’t about to consider a song written by somebody he hadn’t heard of. Furthermore, he wasn’t too open about my opinion that, no matter how commercially successful, a song originally written for somebody else with rehashed lyrics to fit a new person would be, from an artistic standpoint, in poor taste.

That song, Candle in the Wind turned out to be the biggest single in musical history. But I maintain my opinion that such a tribute it is in poor taste from an artistic standpoint. It’s kind of like if a guy, instead of writing a song for his new girlfriend, took one he wrote for an old girlfriend and just changed the words around. Any girlfriend I’ve ever had, would have thrown a fit if they had found out.

I saw David holding Cruz at the concert yesterday also. Unfortunately it was a shot from far away, so I didn’t get a good look at his face, but I think he’s very cute. They all are.

I don’t think the boys look like each other. You can see the family resemblance but they don’t really look identical. But then again, I’m an obsessive fan

Cruz is so darn cute, and I agree Romeo and him look so much alike.

They showed footage of David holding Cruz during the concert. Cruz looks so much like Romeo! It took me a while to figure out who David was holding. lol
