Laird Hamilton and Gabrielle Reece expecting

Osl58921_cbbModel and volleyball star Gabrielle Reece, 37, announced on the Today show this morning that she is expecting her second child. The new baby is due January 2nd, and will join big sisters Reece Viola, 3 1/2, and Izabella, 11 (from surfer Laird Hamilton‘s first marriage).

Gabby isn’t going to let pregnancy slow her down — she’ll be rejoining the pro beach volleyball tour in August, as well as making periodic visits to Today to share tips about keeping fit during each trimester, which will eventually be turned into workout DVDs.

I’m a little over three months pregnant. I try to tell women, ‘You’re not dead. You’re not fat. You’re pregnant.’

I thought she had a son and a daughter with Laird? I’m almost positive she does…I think this is her 3rd pregnancy…

Sarah’s note: Nope, no son and only second pregnancy. I wonder who you’re thinking of?

Cool, a little friend for Wyatt Crow.

Aww, I was wondering when they might have another child. I don’t know why; I just do that with some couples for some reason.

But best of luck to them with this one! :)

I read the article on MSNBC about Gabrielle Reece; and as a FSU graduate, I was annoyed. She didn’t play volleyball at University of Florida. She went to FSU. I used to see her on campus. You couldn’t miss her, she was tall!
