Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon with kids

Actors Reese Witherspoon, 31, and Ryan Phillippe, 32, put aside their differences to attend a talent show at Deacon Reese‘s, 3 1/2, school. Also with them was daughter Ava Elizabeth, 7 1/2. Afterwards Ryan took the kids and Reese smiled and waved goodbye.

what good parents these two are – the middle of a divorce and yet they are capable of putting their kids first every time – I hope they keep it up, they seem to be doing a good job of negotiating their changed lives so far.

I love how they were able to put aside their differences and divorce issues for one night. I know parents who wont even see each other or take their kids to the other parent’s house.

This is the one couple I wish had stayed together… sigh… Reese is still classy enough to put the kids first, I would never have thought otherwise.

Wow, Deacon has gotten so big and handsome. I remember when Reese was pregnant with him and talking about how excited Ava was to be a big sister. Now seems about the time they would be having another one if they were still together. *sigh* It’s really a shame that things didn’t work out between the two of them, but at least they are being more mature than many soon-to-be divorced parents twice their age by putting the kids first.
