Update: A son for Matt Hoover and Suzy Preston

Update: Rex Timothy was born sometime in the afternoon on Saturday, June 23rd, weighing in at 6 lbs, 13.5 oz and 18 inches long. Suzy says,

He came a little earlier than expected. But he is strong and healthy — the best boy ever!

Originally posted June 24th: We hear Biggest Loser 2 stars Matt Hoover, 31, and Suzy Preston,31, recently welcomed a son! Suzy had announced the pregnancy in November, with Matt confirming in February that they were expecting a boy.

The Biggest Loser stars Suzy Preston and Matt Hoover welcomed a baby boy on June 23. “The whole pregnancy thing is overrated, but I’m really excited about being a mom!” Suzy told In Touch. This is the first child for the couple, who married after falling in love while losing weight on the hit NBC show. Their son, whom they named Rex Timothy, weighed 6 pounds, 13.5 ounces, and was 18 inches long. “He came a little earlier than expected,” says the new mother. “But he is strong and healthy — the best boy ever!”
