Today Show's Campbell Brown expecting first child

Weekend Today show anchor Campbell Brown, 39, announced this morning that she is pregnant. 

CBB Reader Sarah emailed us that,

At the end of an interview, Tim Russert said, Oh, and Campbell, you will make a great Mama!" And she smiled and thanked him. Her face is very full, and her ‘girls’ are also larger than normal.

Campbell and Fox News analyst Dan Senor have been married for a year.

the man who told her she’d make a great mama was Tim Russert. Also yesterday she was confronted by Lester Holt at the end of the show when he said someone has been sipping gingerale and eating crackers, do you have something to tell us? But they ran out of time so nothing was said

She also made a comment in the opening 15 minutes about ‘gaining pounds, but losing brain cells.’ She said this after accidentally drawing a line on her chin with a pen while they were doing the headlines at the news desk.

I like Campbell and can’t wait to go through this with her on national tv. She is a sweetheart. The timing is great too because my dil just revealed that she is expecting and due at the end of January.

I happened to catch the show this morning when she made the announcement. It was really cute. They gave her a big bouquet of pink and blue balloons. It was nice!

The show was really cute this weekend. They dropped little hints here and there and she was just so happy and bubbley. I am very happy for her, she just seems like such a nice person.

Campbell also mentioned on the show that Dan does not want to find out the baby’s gender but she wants to know because “I want to go shopping NOW!” She was so excited! It was cute.
