Update: Peter tells Soap Opera Digest that baby is a girl and the due date is late in November.
Originally posted June 20th: Days of Our Lives actor Peter Reckell, 52, and his wife Kelly Moneymaker are expecting their first child in November.
The couple have been married for nine years.

52? Wow… I love his as Bo Brady, especially with Hope, they have such great chemistry. Anyways, congrats to him and his wife. I was wondering if/when they would have children.

Kelly is a celebrity in her own right (albeit not a very large one, except to her fans like me)…she replaced Gioia Bruno in the platinum-selling trio Expose’, from the late 80s/early 90s. She didn’t perform lead vocals, but she was with the group for two albums, before they were dropped by their record label. She still works with the group in their tours today, doing fill in duties, and has a solo career.

Did Kelly also appear on Days of our Lives? It seems like a I remember her playing Sami’s best friend.

If I’m not mistaken I think Kelly made an appearance on an episode and she sung one of her songs. I think it was for a wedding on the show.

She is not he one who played Sami’s bestfriend. Her name was Mariam something I think. But, when she left the show, she did marry the man that played Bo for a little while. I think his name is Robert Keller or something like that he also played Sam on Another World.

She has been on DOOL as a singer. I don’t know the specific episode, but I don’t think she was a regular (I don’t watch the show), but her official sites and MySpace don’t list her as a regular at any point. In 2005, she also wrote, produced and recorded a DOOL Love Song CD, which helped garner an Emmy nom.

Bo’s having a baby! I always wondered when he and his wife would have a child. And he doesn’t look a day over 40 to me. He looks damn good for his age.

To answer a few questions:
*Yes, Peter is 52 (born 1955).
* No Peter doesn’t have any other kids. This is his first child.
* Sami’s best friend was called Jamie Caldwell and was played by Miriam Parrish who married Robert Kelker-Kelly who played Bo Brady 1992-95.
*Kelly Moneymaker’s songs has been played many many times on DAYS (and yes there’s a “Love Songs’s on DAYS CD”).
Kelly wrote a special song for Bo & Hope. She appeared in ONE episode as a singer Dec 2002.

I remember the big “controversy” when Robert Kelker-Kelley married Miriam Parrish. Wasn’t he something like 15-20 years older than she was? Back then, it was a big deal…nowadays, not so much! LOL…
