Mike Piazza feels blessed to be a dad
Baseball player Mike Piazza returns to New York City this weekend, where he spent several seasons as a Met, as his new team the Oakland A’s play a three-game series. Along for the trip are Mike’s wife, Alicia, and the couple’s 4 1/2-month-old daughter Nicoletta Veronica. The baby’s birth in February set Mike’s life "in a great direction."
It’s been a lot of fun and I don’t worry about as many things as I used to. I just worry about taking care of my daughter and raising her and realizing that people can do a lot of great things in life, but your children are your only true legacy…She’s a beautiful baby and I’m very blessed to have her.
Nicoletta is the first child for Alicia and Mike.
