Lionel Richie celebrates with ex-wife and two of his children

Singer Lionel Richie celebrated his 58th with ex-wife, Diana Alexander and their two children, Miles Brockman, 13, and Sophia, 8. They went to the nail salon and then to Penguin’s for frozen yogurt. Lionel is also father to Nicole Camille Richie, 25.

I am pretty sure that Nicole was the daughter of a man in Lionel’s band years ago and he (and maybe his wife then???)adopted her…I think that is what is was…either way, Lionel is Nicole’s dad.
Anyhoo, those kids now are gorgeous!!! That little girl is too cute!

Nicole totally looks like her dad. Lionel. Have always thought that he was her bio-dad. Her mom is one of his back-up singers in his old band. Why do you think Nicole is so messed up? He won’t claim her.

Yes, Nicole’s fathe is Peter Michael Escovedo, former man in Lionel Richie’s band, she was adopted at 2 year old by Lionel Richie and his 1st wife

Sophia is not Nicole’s bio sister, but she really looks a lot like her, she is such a pretty little girl. Miles is cute too, I love Lionel’s music.

Nicole is the biological daughter of Afro-Latin American percussionist Pete Escovedo and a woman identified only as a backstage assistant on Lionel Richie’s 1980 world tour; Escovedo was a member of Richie’s band. Nicole was adopted by Lionel at age 8.

Why wouldn’t Nicole’s biological mother make herself known? She did in fact give birth to her? Why wouldn’t she want to show the world who she is? Every article identifies her as an caucasion woman who was an assistant on Lionel Richie’s 1980′s World Tour. Is she not happy that she gave birth to a very beautiful girl? Very confused!!
