The Hanson family photo and introducing Clarke Everett Hanson

Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson snapped a family portrait with theirrespective wives and children for People magazine this week.

Isaac, 26, and hiswife Nikki, 23, are the newest parents, having welcomed son ClarkeEverett in April, who, according to Nikki, is a human cartoon.

[Everett] makes so many funny faces. He’s got a little Elvis lip curl going on.

Meanwhile, middle bro Taylor, 24, and wife Natalie, 23, areseasoned parents with three tykes, Jordan Ezra, 4, Penelope Anne, 2,and River Samuel, 9 1/2 months. And it seems like the music gene runsin the family. Natalie says,

Penelope and Ezra like to sing. They’re working on ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat.’ In a round!

Taylor adds,

Having kids and being on the road and being a musician, I think in a lot of ways go together because they’re all chaos! A lot of people are sort of thrown off by the late-night feedings and the endless juggling. But when you’re in a band and you tour…it’s actually very similar. Instead of a bunch of drunken rock stars and roadies…you’ve got a bunch of crazy kids bouncing off the walls. And honestly, my wife and my kids are the greatest reward for everything we do.

Zac, 21, and his wife, Kate, 23, are planning to "wait a while"before having children as they haven’t totally caught baby fever yet,Zac says.

I have the cold, but not the full fever yet!

All 10 of them will squeeze into one tour bus this summer when theboys kick off their tour in support of their new album, The Walk, instores July 24. They’re not sure how they’re going to manage, butTaylor has an idea.

Somebody’s up front doing e-mails, somebody’s in the back trying to wrangle a 4-year-old who’s throwing Legos.

All the girls look beautiful, Nikki especially. Everytime Natalie is in a photo, she looks completely different; marriage has agreed with Kate, also. Taylor’s kids look all identical except for Penelope’s blonde hair! And Everett is gonna be the spitting image of his daddy!

Dizz, the Hansons and their wives are all in their early to mid-twenties. They aren’t really “children.” Sure, they’re young. But many couples are married and raising children at similar ages.

Why wouldn’t you marry your girlfriend if the two of you conceived a child? It isn’t always the right decision, but if two people want to make a life with one another and raise their child together, it isn’t always the wrong one, either. And only the people involved can decide what’s right for them.

By the way, Isaac and his wife were engaged months before their child would have been conceived – they were going to get married anyway.

Beautiful families! It’s refreshing to see a set of young people embrace family values instead of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Of all the stuff they could be too young to do, getting married is a pretty darned good option. Paris, Britney (who has two), Lindsay and the rest can’t get it together to save their lives. I’m not going to critize these young men and women for being married, seemingly very stable, and raising their babies. There a re definitely worse fates in life IMO.

i absoultly adore the Hanson clan. i’ve been a fan for 10+ years and to see the who gang of them together is awesome! seeing the family on tour is even pretty cool. the wives are gorgeous women. Natalie makes an absolutly wonderful mother. im sure Nikki and Kate will/do someday!

Yeah Megz I noticed the same thing. That is quite the coincidence that all three young wives are the same age! (With Taylor and Natalie being married for 5 yrs and the parents of 3 kids, they probably feel older than 23 & 24 at times! Also with Zac being only 21, I wouldn’t have been surprised if his wife was only 19 or 20!)

Hopefully their marriages continue to go well and that they continue to be good parents, or are good parents in the future.

It’s interesting that when that New Zealand actress got pregnant at an early age people here were very critical of that, but no one here seems to note the fact that the middle brothers wife must have been 18 when she got pregnant if she is 23 and now have four year old son. Double standards!

Hanna, I see what you mean about people criticizing Keisha Castle-Hughes, but seemingly complacent with Taylor Hanson and his wife having a baby at 19 and 18. Although they were really young, they were legally adults, which makes things a little bit different.

Plus, we’re not seeing people’s initial reaction – which probably would have been more disapproving. At this point, Taylor and Natalie have been married five years, and seem to have made the best of things. They clearly found the strength and maturity to deal with becoming parents quite young.

Hanna, possibly the reason is that now she is 23 and not 18, I’m sure when she was 18 the same comments probably would have been made. But she has since been married for 5 years and has two other children. I would think that in 5 years no one will be talking about the fact that she was 17 when she had her baby, if she seems to have a steady family. I’m not saying that I agree with people jumping on her for having a baby so young, just trying to explain the possible reason people are not making the same comments.

I have been waiting for these photos for ages! Thank you so much for posting them early. I have been the biggest fan since I was 8 and I’m now 18! I can’t believe how much Ezra has grown I remember when I first saw pictures of him as a tiny baby! He’s a proper little boy now! Taylor has really beautiful children and I’m sure Everett is going to look exactly like Ike!!

As far as Taylor and Natalie, I remember some people commenting how they were getting married surprisingly young, that Nat may have already been pregs with their oldest son at the time, that she “trapped” him in the marriage like a “spoiled child”, (even speculation that Natalie was Taylor’s “beard” because Taylor was really gay or something?!) really stupid theories mainly because they were so young at the time.

Obviously Taylor & Natalie have proved most of the speculation wrong and have so far made their marriage work, and it has producted 3 kids interestingly enough.

I absolutely love the Hanson brothers and their families. In my opinion, I don’t think that any of them in any way wasted their lives by getting married and having children so young. That may not be the way for everybody, but I feel it is kind of unfair to say their lives have been wasted. And I commend Isaac for making the responsible choice of marrying the mother of his child, you see that less and less in today’s society.

I guess if you do the math, both Natalie and Nikki were pregnant before they wed. Natalie and Taylor were married in June 2002, and Jordan Ezra was born October 2002 – 4 months after they wed. Nikki and Isaac married at the end of September 2006, and their son was born at the beginning of April 2007 – 6 1/2 months after they wed. However, I see nothing wrong with a couple deciding to get married if they have a baby on the way, regardless of their ages. Or continuing with their wedding plans if they find themselves in a family way before their wedding day. They may have some religious beliefs or personal philosophies that encourage marriage rather than raising a child apart, as well.

The guys from Hanson have been around for awhile, working steadily, and likely have grown up a lot faster and are more mature than other guys their age.

Aweee I love it!! I’ve been a hanson Fan for 10 years… They r the greatest set of guys and they have beautiful Families.. Taylor’s kids all look just like him!!.. it’s great to see guys there age actually Married and doing something with there lives! I completely agree with you, Dizz. They are kids themselves. Also, getting married and then immediately popping out kids does not give you the time to appreciate each other and the new level you’ve taken your relationship to. You really need time to be with each other as husband and wife before you’re mommy and daddy.

Anna- That may be true in some cases, but not all. In some cases, couples DON’T seem to need much, if any, time as husband and wife before becoming mommy and daddy. Also, for some couples having “couple time” before kids is impossible. This is because now a days, there are quite a few couples who meet each other after one or both of them has already been in a relationship and had kids (or one of them was a single parent who adopted a kid or two).
For those couples, time together as just the two of them before becoming mommy and daddy is obviously impossible.
Anyway, my point is that having “couple time” before having kids is NOT the right decision for everyone.

I also want to add that the Hansons and their wives are techincally not children. They are all in their early to mid-twenties, so, at least in the U.S., they are of legal age. When you think about it, the wife who got pregnant when she was only 18 or 19 was of legal age even then. Yes, she was young to be having a child, but at least she wasn’t as young as some teenage moms!
That said, I am in my early 20s myself, and I certainly don’t consider myself to be a child. Therefore, it feels a bit insulting to me to hear the Hansons and their wives referred to as children.
Oh, and Dizz- If the oldest brother HADN’T married his wife after getting her pregnant (which, as another posted stated, wasn’t even the case. They got engaged, and THEN they became pregnant a few months later) and had left her instead….I can pretty much guarantee that he would be getting raked over the coals for leaving his girlfriend after getting her pregnant. Some celebs really cannot win no matter what they do!

What else do you expect them to do after becoming pregnant? Have an abortion? For many of us that is not an option. Also, becoming pregnant sometimes just rushes along what was already planned. Just because you don’t have “couple” time before becoming pregnant doesn’t mean you can’t bond as a couple in the 9 months before the baby. It’s tough but my husband and I did it and are still going strong!

On an added note, just because someone is a young parent does not mean they are not mature enough to be a good parent!

It’s amazing how many people see things in absolutes. Jus because you made decision for how things should be in your life does not automatically it a “SHOULD” for everyone on this planet. People had children at this age for centuries, and the human race has managed fine. Just because we now foster a self-centered ME approach to life, that centers around self-fulfillment rather than community and family, does not mean that it is the right approach for all.

Anna and Dizz, 23 is for from “child,” and some adults are actually ready to grow up on time without indulging in a pura eternis, club-hopping until I am 30, routine.

I had my daughter at 18 and now I’m studying to be a doctor. Do you think that I wasted my life by welcoming a little girl into it, instead of having an abortion? I realised my responsiblities, obviously so did the Hansons.

They have strong relationships and more than enough means, strong family values and support to raise children, so if anyone should have them young, they should. It’s funny, all they seem to say about their children is how much richer for the experience they are.

Thats just the celebrity world isnt it. “live life” by being a drug addict and in and out of rehab, have 4 children to 4 different models or waitresses and not see a single one until they’re old enough to say “I hate you”, or have kids young and be scruitinised for “being children having children.” damned if you do, damned if you dont!

Do you think they have any regrets? I sure don’t!

(And for anyone wondering I’m the grand old age of 26 and the mother of 2 beautiful children and happily married. So there.)

People are far to busy talking about celebrities like they know them personally and can forsee the mistakes they’ll make. Very few of us know the hansons and so can really lake a judgement on how they should or shouldn’t lead their lives. All I can say is that they all seem very happy and have got lovely families to support them and hopefully it’ll stay that way. My parents got married when they were 20 and 27 and had a baby that year and they’re still together and really happy 35 years later so it just goes to show that every case is different.

I am so happy for all of them. They are such sweet guys, and each one is great with kids. Thier parents married early, and had 7 children. Apple doesnt fall far from the tree I guess. They guys are close. I can imagine how much fun they have. Congrats to all of them. (the girls all do look simliar, I heard somewhere that they liked brunette’s) And Zac’s wife I believe dated Isaac 1st… if “rumor” is correct.

Wow, I’m sooooo behind on this! I just found this link via Google and COMPLETELY missed this article because at the time I had just given birth to MY daughter!

Congrats to ALL of the Hanson brothers and their beautiful wives. Seeing them like this makes me feel so old! I was 12 when I fell in lust with Zac Hanson back in 1997 (….and then Taylor….. and finally Isaac when he gave me his guitar pick at a concert.)

To the comments of getting married only because they were pregnant? Well, stuff happens. I dated my (now husband) for 5 years, we got pregnant, then we decided now was as good a time as any to get married since we both knew it was going to happen eventually. However, our daughter was 3 months old when we wed. (I didn’t like the idea of a shotgun wedding! It was 2007 not 1940!) So a year later my husband and I are happy as can be and our daughter is our pride and joy. I’ve lost nothing by being married and a mother when I was 22.

Anywho, congrats to the brothers and best wishes!

I am a really young fan, at least for Hanson fan standards (just turned 14), but I’ve been a huge fan for going on five years now. I love them, their music, and everything about them, and am happy that they are so happy with what they are doing with their lives. I hope they keep making music forever, and that one day I could meet them, also it would be nice if people could stop trashing them. People used to trash them for sounding like girls and looking like girls (I never thought they did), and now they are ragging on them for having children young, why can’t we all just appreciate the beauty of Hanson, their music, and their families? They’ve brought a lot of people a lot of happiness, myself included and they could use a little appreciation and love in response instead of scorn.

That’s great that you’re such a big fan. I was a huge fan since Middle of Nowhere, and their music got me thru some tough teen times. I didn’t have a hard life, but still growing up is difficult whoever you are! I was made fun of quite a bit, but even though my tastes have changed, I still pick up a new Hanson CD if i find one!!!

It is refreshing to read about these celebs praising and being proud of their kids rather than “endangering” them or reading articles about “fat” celebs not wearing any underwear…

As a Hanson fan myself, I have heard many interviews that the band has done over the last 14 years. Taylor said himself in an interview that he and Natalie had been together for 2 years before getting married, and Zac said in I believe the same interview that he and his wife Kate had dated for 5 years before getting married. They have also all said that having been a band since 1992 (having started before they got famous) that they have felt they’ve always had a fast paced life. For them getting married at the ages they did felt right. So people can judge all the want but they did what was best for them, and are all still together with their wives raising their children.
