Steve Carell on spending time with his kids

With a thriving television and movie career, Steve Carell isawfully busy these days, but the Evan Almighty star always finds timefor his kids, Elisabeth, 6, and John, 3, with wife, actress Nancy Walls.

I try to get home and give my kids a tub and put them to bed everynight. I’m generally there in the morning to give them breakfast and toget them off to school.

Steve wouldn’t mind more time at home though, even if that means it will come at the expense of his career.

If this movie tanks and my career is over, I will be okay. I couldraise my kids and take jobs as they come. I could live with that,because I have had such a great run. I have tasted [fame] but it’s notlike it’s done nothing but make me hungry for more. I have tasted itand I am very satisfied.

More time with his kids would also mean more jokes and laughs asthe comedian claims Elisabeth and John are much more funny than he is.

They already have a much drier sense of humor than I do. My3-year-old understands irony, which I think is pretty sophisticated atage 3.
