Despite having cast her children in her 2005 film Loverboy, directed by husband Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick hopes Travis, 18 this week, and Sosie, 15, will pursue other endeavors in their careers. That’s not to say, though, she wouldn’t be supportive if they decide to follow in their parents’ footsteps.
It’s an incredibly narcissistic, insecure profession. It’s always about you and your feelings. There’s a lot of rejection…If they can, I’d like them to do other things. But if it’s in their soul, and there’s no way they could do anything else, I would support them 100 percent. No one could have said anything to me that would have made me not want to be an actor.
