Rapper The Game welcomes second son

Rapper The Game, né Jayceon Taylor, 27, and his girlfriend Tiffany Webb welcomed a son, King Justice, on April 25th. King joins older brother Harlem Caron, who turns 4 on June 30th.

I know this is beside the point, but I remember from french class that née is the feminine. I don’t know what the masculine is but is it grammatically correct to write that? Kinda like a guy is blond, but a gal is blonde…

Silly I know, but my husband and I are such grammerphiles.

When a guy has a previous name, it’s written as né. So it would be:

The Game, né Jayceon Taylor
Jack White, né Gillis

and maybe someday Brad Jolie-Pitt, né Pitt
