Kate Beckinsale worries about school violence

When it came time for Kate Beckinsale to choose a school for her daughter Lily, 8, the English actress admits that she was wary of the American school system — but says now that her fears were unfounded.

I was concerned … because I’m a neurotic mess and I believe that all children are packing a gun in high school, which is scary.  But that’s ridiculous.

Lily is the only child for Kate and her ex-boyfriend Michael Sheen; Kate is now married to director Len Wiseman.

I just love this mother/daughter pair, they are gorgeous and stylish! And Lily is my favourite celebrity kid – beautiful and so smart. She’s just as bookish as I was as a child.
