Does she ever let her kids walk she is always carring them!
Annoynomus on
Michelle- For goodness sake, Lola is only two years old! I am sure that she, like many two-year-olds is not a very fast walker, so carrying her probably gets them around much faster. Also, if I were a celeb with a kid that little, no way would I let them walk in public! Not with all the paps around! The poor thing could easily get trampled!

i’m sorry guys but i’m so sick of this woman pretending she’s a good mom she didn’t take these kids any where till she broke up with whats his face …and by the way ones almost four the other 2 1/2 why don’t they walk?
None of that is true. The girls were often seen out with Charlie AND Denise before they split. Sam just turned 3 in March — she’s not even 3 1/2 yet, nevermind close to 4, and Lola just had her second birthday last week, so she’s nowhere near 2 1/2.

She’s so cute! I love the shoes (Disney Cayman crocs, I’ve seen a ton of kids and adults in them)

I have to admit that her cap with the initials “S” and “L” is lovely.
Apparently she is a very loving mother, so why to worry if she is always carrying them?
Denise is my favorite celebrity mom, she is naturally beautiful and care a lot of her girls, usually pregnant women that don’t tolerate more their husbands, don’t get divorced because are pregnant, she had courage.. so that’s why she is one of my favorites.

Just because she carries them when they are out in public it doesn’t mean that she never lets them walk. The kids probably do plenty of walking and running when they are not in a crowded place surrounded by Paparazzi. Also,in the real world young children get tired of walking and want to be carried or ride in a stroller. I hate it when I see someone dragging a tired screaming toddler by the arm because they refuse to carry them.

I love that people get so picky about how much a woman ‘lets’ her children walk. A snapshot captures a moment. Not the entire day or even an entire 10 minutes. Geez!

When we see celeb dads carrying their babies it’s cute. If they have them on their shoulders or piggy back at an amusement park it would be cute. Why do people always get so annoyed when celeb moms carry a child or have them in a stroller?
I recall people commenting a lot on Reese Witherspoon’s son being carried a lot, on Julianne Moore’s daughter being in a stroller, and so many more. Why does it bother you so much?

Our babies grow up SOOO very fast…. I tried to enjoy the “carrying” years as much as possible!

I love her hat, that is so cute! Lola was born a day after my son (6/1) and he loves to be carried, even though he walks very well. Children like to be close to their mommies, there is nothing wrong with that.

I think both Lola and Denise’s hat are adorable, and I see nothing wrong with Denise carrying her. She’s still a toddler who propably likes being carried when she goes out. Sam walks a fair amount, so I’d assume Lola will be doing the same in a few months once she matures a little more.
But to answer your question, Virginia, I think the reason people talk about Reese carrying Deacon and Julianna pushing Liv in a stroller is because, especially in the latter case, Deacon and Liv are past the toddler stage. They are older children who can easily walk by themselves, so when they are carried and carted in strollers, it looks like the parents are babying them when they don’t have to. Particularly in Liv’s case, once you are 5 years old, barring a medical condition, there is no reason a child of that age needs to be pushed to and from school in a stroller. Kids that age are capable of a lot more than people give them credit for, and especially now that childhood obesity is such an issue, walking is an all-around better option imo.
On another note, does anyone else think Denise’s tank looks kind of immature? It looks like something a college student would wear-not a 36-year-old mother of two young kids.
TwinMom on
So what if she carries her kids? She’s lucky she still can! My twins grew very quickly and it became difficult to carry them much past the age of 18 months. (My kids are 6, but the size of maybe an 8 or 9 year old.)
And Lauren, I don’t see a problem with the hat. I’m definitely not a hat person… look really ridiculous in them… but Denise looks young and hip to me.

TwinMom, I said I didn’t like Denise’s tank-not her hat. I said I thought her hat was adorable.

Her daughters are so pretty and I don’t understand why people ALWAYS talk badly about Denise and her parenting. I haven’t seen her being a bad parent..if anything I have seen her being a good parent.
If I had my children out in public and they were only 2 and 3 I wouldn’t let them walk around especially with paps around. They would either be in some kind of stroller or I would carry one of them. Actually, I never see parents letting their children that young walk around while they are shopping..etc.

Lola is only 2, I don’t see nothing wrong with Denise holding her. On anther note Lola is so cute, she looks just like Denise IMO. I love how Denise dresses her girls, and Denise herself always looks so put together and adorable. Cute family.
