Denise Richards wants daughters to love their bodies

06/07/2007 at 11:19 PM ET

Denise Richards took up a healthy diet and a workout regime to tone upher body after giving birth to daughters Sam, 3, and Lola, 2. Now, theactress hopes to instill a positive body image in her girls.

I will try to teach my daughters to love their body. Sami waslooking at Lola and said, ‘Wow, look at Lola’s big belly,’ and I toldSami that Lola has a beautiful belly. Now, Sam tells her sister herbelly is beautiful.

Denise still keeps up with her diet and exercise routine, which includes Pilates, weights and chasing her daughters around.

My girls motivate me to exercise and eat right! I’m a single mom, so I’m outnumbered! I need my energy to keep up with them.

Especially when they’re on top of her – Sam and Lola have a tendency to jump on mom during her Pilates sessions.

[Trainer] Mari [Pratt] has had the big challenge of adjusting the exercises with my girls climbing on me.

I’m glad to hear that she’s trying to instill a positive body image in her girls. I just hope that it doesn’t include posing for Playboy (as she did shortly after she had Sam).

That’s wonderful. That’ll help ensure that the girls become immune to the disturbing thin trend in Hollywood.

Me I hope that she’ll pose in playboy again because she’s beautifull, her nude body is perfect she’s an art !

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
