Dannielynn Birkhead teething and smacking dad around

Larry Birkhead has spent the past month quietly bonding withDannielynn, 9 months, with his family at their Kentucky home andDannielynn’s growing up fast.

She’s been swimming, making a bunch of noises, walking in her little walker and her top tooth is coming in.

She also loves to be comforted by dad.

At night, I feed her a bottle and sing to her, and if I stop, she’ll start smacking my face.

Larry is due back in the Bahamas today for a custody hearing.

I am thrilled that Larry is enjoying being a father so much. It sounds like Dannielynn is finally getting some sense of stability with her new family in Kentucky. I think Anna Nicole would be happy.

I’m so glad you have that beautiful baby. She really loves and you really love her. Good Luck with the custody and don’t give up making sure she stays with you. Everyone should just be happy for you and everyone should feel a sign of relief because she is with you.

I’m not at all feeling sad for Howard Stern, rather the opposite. He tried everything to keep Dannie away from her father for so long – it was neither Larry’s nor Dannie’s (obviously) choice for Howard to do that. Thanks to that guy Larry missed out on being a daddy for months and Dannie was deprived of her father until she was half a year old. Dannielynn has nothing to do with Howard Stern. Why on earth should he play a part in her upbringing? Get real.

Liz – of course Howard will see Dannielynn again. Larry and Howard have been very civil to each other. Howard responsibly gave Larry his daughter, gave Larry baby-care advice and was very helpful in Dannielynn’s transition. Of course Larry’s grateful for all that. There’s no rivalry; I’m sure Howard is going to be involved in Dannielynn’s upbringing.

I’m convinced that Howard was only civil to Larry because he knew there was no chance for him to keep Dannielynn. “He gave Larry baby-care advice” – don’t make me laugh.

Dannielynn was cared for not by him, but by nannies after her mom passed away. Howard needs to finally butt out and leave Larry and his daughter alone. They don’t need him and never have!

I hope Larry and Dannielynn can finally move on, with Howard being nothing but a bad memory from the past.

I can’t see H. Stern playing a part in this babys upbringing AT ALL and why should he. Lets sum this up: Larry Birkhead is the childs father. Birkhead was excited about Anna Nicole, Danny, him and the baby being a family. Then Stern came on the scene. Stern quickly became his love rival. Its most likely that Birkhead felt a lot of hate and anger for Stern in those days, thinking he’d stolen his family away from him. Then, the tragedy with Anna and Danny. Suddenly Birkhead saw his chance – his baby wasnt lost to him after all. With Anna Nicole gone, it was just Stern who stood in his way now. Birkhead took the case to court. Stern knew of course that after the DNA test he’d lose the child to Birkhead so he decided to change his tune towards the guy. All that sudden friendliness towards Birkhead was clearly a publicity stunt… Stern is a public figure so it matters what people think of him.
The idea of the two men now bringing up this child together, or Stern playing any kind of part in the babys future is ABSURD. Sorry.

Fran – what’s naive about that? Larry has made it crystal clear that he’s not holding any grudges against Howard. He’s said before that he has no problem with anyone who loves Dannielynn and wants to be involved, and for a while that even included Virgie Arthur. Have you forgotten Howard and Larry working together against Virgie? If you still think the two of them are sworn enemies and forever bitter towards each other, that’s just pessimism on your part, because there’s no indication of that at all.

Nausicaa – I don’t buy that. All that friendly talk during the court case, I guess that was just for the press. Have you forgotten what went on there for so long? The chances of Howard being involved with Dannielynne in the future are tiny, imo. Like, hell freezing over. Nah, it ain’t gonna happen! No way!

Fran- I agree Nausicaa on this one. Like she said, Larry has made it crystal clear that ANYONE who loves Dannielyn and wants to be a part of her life can be. Considering that for awhile that even included Virgie, I’d say that the chances of Howard being involved in Dannielyn’s life are actually very good. I gotta wonder what you’ll say when it turns out that Howard IS involved in Dannielyn’s life!

While I’m glad this is all over and everyone, especially Dannielynn, can continue with their lives, I have to jump in and defend Howard here. To Pan73, There was NO FAMILY PLAN for Daniel, Anna, Dannielynn and Larry. Don’t let him or anyone else fool you. I’ve been watching this all since Daniel died and caught the media, and every single player in the drama in so many lies it’s ridiculous.

In case you’d missed the story in the jumble of lies and rumors the media reported for months on end, Howard was a major part of Anna and Daniel’s life for 12 almost 13 years. Mr. Birkhead came on the scene three or so years ago, that’s a ten year difference. If anyone walked in on any family it was Larry, not the other way around. Anna did what she wanted, when she wanted, why she wanted, and how she wanted. That included sleeping with a number of men, Howard, Larry, and a few others included (there was an email Larry read in court from AFTER Daniel died where he read off a laundry list of men he accused Anna of cheating on him with). No one should delude themselves into thinking Anna was capable of anything called fedility before Daniel died. She seemed like she was a kind and lovely lady, but sex wasn’t the same for her that it was for everyone else. There’s alot in her background that’s a good indicator of the reason for her behavior.

Anyway, Howard did the best he could, and he did alot of stuff for Anna that I’m sure he’s wishing he’d rethought. Alot of people bought into the media perception of him and not one conclusion drawn has come to pass. The fact is he loved the woman to a fault, he loved her kids, and when it came down to it he did what was best for the baby. He could have continued to fight until he exhausted EVERY avenue. That could have taken months on end making Dannielynn even more attached to him and the ultimate separation detrimental to her.

The fact that he put his grief and emotions aside for her speaks volumes about the kind of man he his and how much he loves that child. Larry is her father, that’s not changing, but she won’t die from having another father figure love her to pieces. Eventually she’ll grow up, and she’ll want to know things that Larry will have no knowledge of because he wasn’t there. The only person she’ll have to fill in the 12 year gap before her mother died is Howard. Why not have her grow up with a daddy who loves her and fills her in on his side of the family and another source who loves her and will tell her nothing but good things about her mom? If the will goes the way it should Larry will have to deal with him anyway for the next 17 years til she’s of age, why not have a good and long standing respect?

Sorry for the length but I have an issue letting misconceptions slide when they’re there for the public to read.

Larry and Howard have always maintained they are working together for Dannielynns sake.

I find it a bit disappointing that cute tidbits on Larry and Dannielynn turn into arguments about ‘the main players’. What happened has happened.

I have read with interest all comments, I still feel that it Larry should raise D/L without HK$ or Virgie. If Larry choses this option then there is a chance that D/L may grow up with a normal life. I really hope that the Marshall estate does not give money to D/L {can anyone tell me when the next court date is…thanks}..UNFORTUNATELY HK$ & Virgie are out for money/fame, please let this baby grow up to have a life of her own!

Grayson…If I were Larry I would show Howard exactly how it feels to be excluded from every decision regarding Danni the way he did Larry and then I might let him see her but not often. Howard was a part of some of Anna’s worst life choices. He enabled her and her drug use even giving her shots! HE probably could have saved her life had he stepped up. She obviously listened to everything he said. He doesn’t deserve to be in any part of Danni’s life. To me he is nothing more than an attempted kidnapper. Its disgusting that he would knowingly play a role in keeping an innocent man away from his first born child!
