Australian Idol winner Damien Leith welcomes second son

Update: The baby’s name is Jagger Ramone.

Originally posted May 30th: Last year’s Australian Idol winner, Damien Leith and his wife, Eileen, welcomed their second son together today (Wednesday the 30th, Australian time). They already have a son, Jarvis, 20 months. The baby was due around May 20th, so it looks like the little boy was a few weeks overdue. According to Damien’s father, he weighed 3.9kg and 50 cm in length. Photos and a name should follow in an Australian magazine in the coming weeks.

During the pregnancy Damien talked of Jarvis’ protectiveness over his mother;

He kisses her stomach and if I put my hand on it, he moves it away.

Hmm…I wonder if his parents are rock music fans? =) I don’t blame them. The Rolling Stones and The Ramones are two great bands. I think musicians are a lovely and meaningful thing to name a child after. I have two daughters, but if either of them was a boy, the name would have been Lennon. The Beatles, and John Lennon in particular is my and my husband’s favorite musician, and we have so much love for him.
