Update: Lindsay Lohan’s new boyfriend has a daughter

British model Lorna Hogan gave birth to 6 lb 13 oz Amelia Grace Hogan last December after a short affair with Calum last year.  According to Lorna, he has refused to take a paternity test to confirm that he is the father of the five month old baby girl or even visit the child.

Lorna told the UK’s Sunday Mirror,

I can’t believe he wants nothing to do with thisbeautiful little girl. He hasn’t even bothered to call and ask howAmelia is. He is out clubbing every weekend, throwing his money away. He ends up with a different girl on his arm each time.

She says that she met Calum at a London club and became pregnant accidentally because she was on the pill but the antibiotics that she was taking for a kidney infection prevented the pill from working.  She said,

When I told Calum Iwanted to keep the baby he sent me dozens of texts hinting I should getrid of the baby.

Calum’s father is the late British football legend George Best, who died in November 2005 after two liver transplants.  Lorna complained,

Georgelet alcohol destroy him and Calum is heading the same way. While he isout frittering away his money, I am at home looking after his daughteron a tight budget.

It is time he started taking responsibility. I don’t expect him to bethe kind of dad to take our daughter to school every day. But I don’twant her to see pictures of him stumbling drunk out of nightclubs withdifferent women on his arm every time.”

Lorna says of her daughter and her daughter’s grandfather,

My little girl is gorgeousand has definitely been blessed with George’s good looks. I am proudshe is related to him because he was an idol who will never beforgotten. It’ssuch a shame he will never see her. But I will definitely tell mydaughter all about him when she is old enough. She has got the same bigpiercing blue eyes that he was known for. She is just an angel, soserene and pretty.

I don’t think George Best had two liver transplants! He had one then ended up in hospital again, but there wasn’t a second transplant. As for the baby, Calum won’t even talk about her. I hope he’s beginning to support Lorna and Amelia financially though. I actually met him once a few years ago and he seemed like a perfectly nice guy, but I guess you never know. The baby is beautiful, but with the Best genes, was there ever any doubt about that?!

That’s just terrible. The poor kid; her daddy refuses to acknowledge her. And she’s gorgeous! How can he possibly neglect her? Though it’s probably for the best. Judging from this it doesn’t seem like he’d make a good father anyway.

I feel for this woman and child if he is in fact a dead beat dad. But I have to admit that two things stuck out to me while reading this story. 1. He hasn’t been proven to be the father of this child. Which means….he may not be. Yes, the simple fact that he has thus far refused to take a test does imply that he probably is the father but one never knows. And 2. she talks about him out clubbing with different women all the time. But she met him out at a club and had a short affair with him – one that obviously included unprotected sex. I’m sorry, it may be harsh – but she was one of those women she is talking about now.

where it is sad that this baby will probably not ever have a close ( if any at all) relationship with her father, doesn’t her mother have to take some responsibility for that also?

The mother ‘chose’ to have a baby with this guy, and know she is calling him out for behavior that got her into this place to begin with. She knew what he was about when she was having sex with him, and now she wants him to change…uhgg, these woman who want to take no responsibility for themselves and the choices they make.

My ‘real’ Dad is a dead beat, didn’t want anything to do with me and sent his identical twin brother to BOTH paternity testings. I feel for little Amelia.

I don’t think she should be crying to a newspaper about her life, she should be happy her daughter is healthy. With Callum’s life style, I think it’s best for him to just financially help her out. He won’t changes his ways, and Amelia shouldn’t be exposed to that life.

She does look a lot like him though.

Please don’t be taken in by her sob story. Admittedly, if it is his child then he should take responsibility but from the interviews I have read with her, it could have been one of a number.
Also, what really annoys me about her is that she kept going to the papers saying things like ‘Oh my baby just wants to know her father I will never ask him for money blah blah blah ‘ and the in the next week’s interview she told how she was claiming child support!

I totally sympathize with her on how she must be feeling. I am in that same kind-of situatin, I met a guy in a bar, got pregnant right off the bat, (while taking birth control) and the sperm-donor refuses to have anything to do with my daughter, he was at the hospital when she was born, he signed the birth cerficate, but a month after she was born, he just up and left and hasn’t had anything to do with us since, he has since gone and im-pregnated at least 3 different women, it is sad that my daughter will never know her father, but have sibglings out there in which she will never even know their names.
So i definatly know how she feels.

and also to add to my original post, my daughters sperm donor refuses to take a paternity test also. . . and i only “did-it” with him 1 time. so i take responsibility for it, but if anyone hasn’t been in this situaiton – don’t post comments about how it is her fault too, this isn’t some britney spears story here!!!

okay, everyone is saying how he is refusing to claim the child. He isn’t sure if she’s his. The article said short affair. Im thinking thats in the terms of infidelity. so if thats the case, doesn’t he have a reason to question the paternity. On the other hand he’s refusing to take a test.So It really doesn’t paint a pretty picture.

To those who claimed she had unprotected sex with him- The article clearly states that she was in fact on the pill at the time, but because she was taking antibotics for a kidney infection, the pill did not work. It is very possible that she did not realize at the time that the antibotics would interfere with the Pill. So, in otherwords, she DID use protection. It just failed to work.

That said, I think it’s sad that he refuses to acknowledge his daughter. Also, I believe her when she says he is the father. After all, she knows who she has had sex with. He could very well be the only guy she had an affair with at the time the baby was concieved. Personally, I think she should go to court and force him to take a paternity test.

yeah it really stuck with me while reading this article that she continually comments on him stumbling around drunk after partying all night etc…you are one of these women that you comment on him having hanging off his arms,and you knew what kind of guy he was before. So why put yourself in that position? she needs to stop blaming his activity and look in a mirror!

I think the posts about her not taking responsibility or owning up to her actions are bogus. Who chose to keep the baby and is raising her? She HAS taken the responsibility and only wants Amelia’s father to do the same. It takes TWO people to make a baby so she has every right to say and do what she is doing.

My twin girls’ father is from England, and it took me a YEAR to get him to take a paternity test. Another 2 years after that to pay child support. He’s only met them ONE time and that was during the actual paternity test. Just because I had him take the test and have him pay child support doesn’t make me irresponsible or make it to wear I’m not owning up to my own actions.

I wish her and Amelia all the best and hope that Calum will take the test at the very least.

Doesn’t it take two people to have sex? With all the different kinds of birth control out there (granted, for mainly women only), even I have a hard time remembering that casual sex can have repercussions. Its a 50/50 road; women should respect the man’s decision as much as a man should support, in whatever his way, the woman’s. Some people take a long time to grow up. To the people out there that think using the pill equals ‘protected sex’ think again. The pill doesn’t protect you from AIDS, hepatitis, gonorrhoea, chlamydia, etc. They are both fools to be having casual sex without using protection, simple as that.

Meliciousgirl- The pill DOES protect against pregnancy, though. The “unprotected sex” comments on this post are almost certainly referring to having sex without bothering to protect the woman pregnancy. Anyway, maybe they WERE being a bit foolish, but come on, not everybody uses their best judgement in “the heat of the moment”.

I have never commented on here before but I after reading this story I just had to say something. I am in exactly the same situation as Lorna and Amelia. I have a 5 month old son and the baby’s father refuses to acknowledge him…he claims “he isn’t even sure he’s the father” and is using it as an excuse to ignore us and pretend we don’t exist. I am 110% certain that he is the father, I have asked several times for a paternity test and even organised a doctor’s appointment which this guy didn’t bother to show up for. He will not take a test, instead he too is busy wasting his money on drinking every weekend and going home with a different girl every time.
It absolutely breaks my heart that men can do this…Every child deserves to know who their father is.

Take it from some one from england. We see these kiss and tell stories practically every day in the tabloids. A lot of these girls and I am not accusing this young lady, but a lot of them go to the in night clubs and target these folish famous young men just to get their name in the paper and some easy money. Quite a few make a career out of it, not naming any names. I agree with the comment that the pill isnt “protection”, it is a contraceptive. In this day and age and especially with some one you see fall out of clubs with a different girl each week, what was she thinking to not use condoms! Not defending Callum, he needs to take the test and step up to the plate, but maybe he feels targeted for his riches and fame. I know I would. Having said that, maybe he will think twice now about going condomless! Then again maybe not

i think it is a bit foolish when you decide to keep a baby from a guy you know he 1. don´t want that child and 2. is a partymonster. i mean the problems were preassigned. she was naiv enough to think he´d change his mind. he didn´t, so i think it would be responsible to let (him) go. go out and find a real father for the little girl, lorna. and never get a baby again with someone who just don´t want to.

It’s a shame that Lorna had to go public in order to get Calum to agree to a paternity test, and I do believe that if he is the father, he has a responsibility to contribute financially at the very least. However, I hate seeing tabloid articles like this, with the ‘poor innocent mother’ photographed holding her little angel and looking hurt and done wrong-by.
It’s all very well for her to complain about Calum’s behaviour, but I find it very difficult to believe she didn’t know his ways before she slept with him. In the UK Calum is notorious for being a womaniser and a generally unsavoury character, and has been for years.
Lorna (who is infact a glamour model, enough said) had to have been at certain clubs/parties etc. in order to have met him in the first place, so she’s no twinset-and-pearls wearing church committee member. She knew what she was getting into. I just hope the pair of them do what is ultimately best for the child.

Frankly, the morals of the mother (if they are even in question) are completley irrelevant when it comes to that poor little girl. She didn’t ask for her parents to be who they are, and Calum should do the best for that baby no matter what the situation is with him and Lorna. He didn’t ask to be a father, true, but Amelia didn’t ask to be born. Mum and Dad have got to deal with the consequences. And this is coming from someone with one parent who has never cared, and was treated as an inconvienience by the other. The child must be put first, and if that means the parents putting their own feelings aside, then so be it. I’m sick of reading these kiss and tell stories as much as anyone else, but on this occasion, I think if Lorna hadn’t said something, Calum would never have even acknowledged the child. The mother should show some respect for herself and child by handling this privately, rather than going to the tabs and badmouthing the supposed father in the hopes he’ll comply to a paternity test and complaining about a lack of monetary support.

I believe only rifampin (an antibotic) has been shown to decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills (which does not have a 100% effective rate). researchers cannot rule out that some women may experience decreased effectiveness of oral contraceptives while taking pencillin and the like ONLY because a large enough study has not be completed.

I agree with commenter, pam woodhouse, if I was taking antibotics for a kidney infection and was under the belief that antibotics could interfer with an oral contraceptive, I wouldn’t be having unprotected sex. but we all make decisions and this woman chose to bring an unplanned child into the world.

What you have not been told about this girl is that she likes to go to all the well known celeb hangouts in the chance to get one of them into bed. A few years ago she was in the paper for sleeping with Nicholas Anelka, she sold her story and used the proceeds to get a boob job.
She already has a young son 5/6 years old and leaves him for days at a time to go and do her so called “glamour” modelling.
What kind of mother goes sleeping with z-list celebs in the hope of getting pregnant and have 5 minutes of fame?
I know for a fact that she was sleeping with other men around the time she was seeing Calum; I am not saying the baby isn’t his but it just goes to show the type of class this girl comes from.
The little girl is gorgeous; shame about her mother.
