Kevin Costner baby-proofing already

Although his son Cayden Wyatt isn’t yet 1-month-old, Kevin Costner is thinking ahead.  Really, really ahead.  After noticing that his coffee table — upon which was a copy of the book Our Babies, Ourselves — has sharp corners, the actor realized that some changes will need to be made … eventually.

That’s going to have to go.  Maybe we’ll get something round.  The kid’s going to hit his head on that for sure.  Just a matter of time.

Speaking of time, Cayden can look forward to spending much of his with Kevin.  The actor — who is currently out promoting his new film Mr. Brooks, in which he not only starred but also produced — says that the children are "always welcome" in his life, and that of wife Christine Baumgartner.

I take the kids wherever I go.  You don’t have to revolve your life around your kids.  You make them a part of yours.

Cayden is the first child for Kevin and Christine.  Kevin has three children from a previous marriage and one child from a previous relationship.

As The Safety Mom and Founder of Peek-a-Boo BabyProofing, I was happy to read that Kevin Costner is planning ahead on baby proofing. It’s never too soon to put some safe guards into place.

Now that Cayden is getting older I’ll bet that coffee table is about to come into play.
Have Kevin and Christine addressed the issue of its sharp corners and edges yet.

For a decade as “The Child Proof Coach” we would recommend removal as Kevin mentioned or perhaps a product called Toddler Shield. Toddler Shield comes in small, medium, large and the colors of black or beige. It stretches around the entire table to cover the corners as well as the edges. It will not mar the table surface with annoying sticky tape and can be removed on a moments notice.

Good luck you guys!
