Jools Oliver picks up daughters from school; wants more kids!

Jamie Oliver’s wife, Jools Oliver, picks up their girls from their school in London. Poppy Honey is 5 and Daisy Boo is 4. Jamie talked last year about having more children;

I definitely want another child – not that I have a choice. Jools wants four and at some point I will have to start working on that. But it won’t be for a while ‘cos of these two. One of them is quite easy, and one of them is quite hard – and they were born within 11 months. But we’ll wait for a little bit. Maybe next year if it all works out.

Minus_nine_to_oneThe couple had fertility issues in conceiving Poppy, but then like the situation of Brooke Shields, their second daughter, Daisy was a surprise natural conception without any planning. Jools had trouble conceiving due to having polycystic ovaries. Jools documented her journey in her book, Minus Nine to One: The Diary of an Honest Mom (from $6.80).

I love that book! It’s just like reading a regular mummy blog, and the girls are absolutely adorable.

Clarification: they didn’t use IVF. She did have fertility problems because of her polycystic ovaries but Poppy was conceived naturally. I remember this specifically because one of the funniest parts of the book was when Jamie’s manager had to look for a bed at the airport because Jools was ovulating during a stopover in LA :D

I love the Olivers — my favourite celeb family! Poppy and Daisy are adorable and Jools book was a delightful read.

stephanie- I heard a similar story about a classmate of mine and a cornfield… I love those types of stories, they’re so spontaneous.

Seeing those faces in those little dresses and hearing the names Poppy Honey, and Daisy Boo in little british accents makes me giggle! So precious, I love it!

Daisy Boo is the most namby-pamby frou frou name in existence. I suppose a child could live with ‘Daisy’, but come on, ‘Boo’? I wouldn’t name a rabbit that, let alone a child. Let’s hope they never cover To Kill A Mockingbird or Casper the Friendly Ghost at her school!
On a more positive note, I think it’s adorable how Poppy looks just like Jools and Daisy looks just like Jamie. They’re also both very pretty little girls, and they look happy and fun in that picture. They actually look the spitting image of my two stepsisters when they were children.
One side note- Jools is English, does the title of her book really say ‘mom’ and not ‘mum’?

I wish both Jamie and Jools all the best and hope {perhaps} one day the girls will have a brother… it would be super to watch a little Jamie grow up. {Of course it would be just as good to have a trio of girls.}
