Gillian Anderson on her kids and being a working mom

Gillian_andersonThe X-FilesGillian Anderson, 38, was recently interviewed by The Grand Rapids Press on what she has been doing since The X-Files ended its run. Gillian said she is focused on spending all her time right now with her almost 7-month-old son, Oscar.

He’s been a bit cranky because he’s teething, but right now he’s fairly smiley and content. Being home with him has been very different, and I recommend it.

Gillian gave birth to her first child Piper, now 12, during the filming of The X-Files and kept up a very grueling schedule while filming.Gillian is dating businessman Mark Griffiths and is currently living in London with her family.

I am glad that Gillian is enjoying her life. I really miss seeing her on TV (re: XFiles) and movies. I hope that her life is filled with happiness and joy.

D’ Maria- shes going to be in a few movies within the next few years, just to let you know. And also the new XF movie. So you’ll be able to see her soon!

It’s so good to hear shes able to spend time with Oscar. She gets to experience all his baby moments. She was so busy with XF when Piper was small, so I think she missed out on a lot. That’s too bad.

Yes, she does have some films coming up, which I am so looking forward to! I’ve been a fan ever since I was a teenager watching the X-Files. And I so hope that an XF movie really does happen.

If you read any of her interviews, she is absolutely hilarious, self-deprecating, and normal! I’m sure she’s a great mom. I’m so happy for her little family. :)
