Australian TV vet Dr. Katrina Warren talks about her pregnancy
Australian celebrity TV vet Dr. Katrina Warren shows off her baby bump in the latest issue of Australian Woman’s Day. Katrina tells how she took the pregnancy test three times while in the US filming a new TV project before calling her husband, Anthony Darcy. Why did she suspect she was pregnant? Because the smell of cats began to upset her! Katrina shares that they do know the sex of the baby but won’t be revealing it until birth.
The couple is hoping their fur children (Tobey the wonder dog, Millie the cat and Archie the border collie pup) adapt quickly to the new addition.
It’s not an ideal situation knowing I will have an 11-month old border collie when I bring home a new baby. Archie is so active, but he’s part of the family now and we’ll cope.
Does have veterinary training help with the understanding of her pregnancy?
I have seen so many animals go through pregnancy and it’s always a miracle. The process is amazing and it’s just incredible watching your body change. I can sit there reading for a long time, especially the week-by-week guides. I’m like a textbook case: if it says, "Your gums might bleed at this stage", then my gums will bleed. Anthony adds; I’m not as disciplined on the reading front. Katrina has a scientific mind so she’s researching everything thoroughly and I’m learning from her.
