how cute

The bottles look too wide near the baby’s mouth and in the diaper bag to be the narrow ones. Wyatt’s carseat is a snugride in Metropolitan print. The Safeseat has a wide rubber hand grip and the snugride has a narrow hand grip with the word Graco on it(look at the carseats handle, the one in the Roxy pic and the one Ms. Crow is carrying look different). A Metropolitan snugride retails for $150 at Albeebaby.com. I don’t know if anyone noticed but the shade on the baby’s carseat is installed backwards. The silver trim and plastic shield should be facing outward.

Sarah’s note: Thanks, I will correct everything when I get home from work. :)

I think that you have the wrong type of bottle, I don’t think it is a ventair bottle if you look at the just jared photos closely it looks as though it is a playtex original bottle, but the nipple which is usually laytex has been switched out with a silicone one. on the close up you can’t see the disc on the bottom, but what a sweet baby!!

actually the bottles are Playtex Drop-Ins…I use them with my daughter and they are great!

I 100% agree with Angela. I have used those bottles for my children as well. We also have the breastpump that will let you attach those bottles to the pump. That must be a new pic because last night the pics I saw were taken at a different angel) The bottle Wyatt is using is the Playtex Original 4oz. bottle. The Starter set sells for around $16.

I noticed that about the bottles, too…that they were the Playtex disposable not the Ventaire. Picky, aren’t we?

Kind of surprising to me after Sheryl’s recent comment about using less toilet paper that she’d use disposable bottles. They do appear to be the most convenient, but are they best for the environment?

I’m not trying to be critical of her, I just wondered about this since she was so outspoken about being environmentally friendly.

We’ll have to wait to see what’s on his bum!

perhaps she had to go to them to reduce gas (if he turned out to be a gassy or colicky baby, or if he ended up with some reflux)

IMO, the ventaires WOULD be a better choice, environmentally, but perhaps they didn’t alleviate his gas properly or she didnt’ like them.

and it’s possible that the baby didn’t like dr. brown’s, which are the other popular choice for relieving gas.

I know when I used the playtex (back before the wide choice of nipples… I wish they had been available back then, because my son’s nose shape made the playtexes not work for us after awhile) my gassy son wouldn’t even need to burp, because I burped the bottle (squeezing the drop-in to push all the air out prior to feeding)

the ventaires were great for my daughter, though, who didn’t like any wide bottles due to her small mouth… and taught me I was wrong… they weren’t leaky.

One thing we did with the disposible bottles is simply washed them out and use them again (the plastic is very sturdy) Our doctor recomended them because our sons had special feeding needs. Ventaire didn’t work for us very well, but my sister sings their praises.
