Pamela Anderson says her sons are wild, but 'great to be around'

05/23/2007 at 07:39 AM ET

Raising two boys as a single mother is a challenge in and of itself, but when you add the fatherly influence of rock star Tommy Lee to the mix, you’ve got your work cut out for you according to Pamela Anderson.  That said, the divorced couple’s sons Brandon, 10, and Dylan, 9, are doing well.

My boys are wild but considering their gene pool, they’re not too bad!  They’re definitely not angels but they’re great to be around.

Pamela — who recently visited a Russian orphanage and said afterward that an adoption for her is not "impossible" — feels that her sons have had a calming influence on her, saying that "if I wasn’t a mother I don’t know what I’d be doing."

How wild can they be? 2 boys so close in age are bound to come up with all sorts of mischief and funny ideas that can drive a mother crazy, that’s completely normal. Pam is a devoted mother and I’m sure her boys are great kids.

If she thinks they are wild now wait until they reach their teenage years.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
