I’m adopted and I look like my mother. I cannot explain it. I agree that this little girl does indeed resemble her father. I cannot explain that either. If they gave out an award for Best Hollywood Father of the Year, I think Mr. Jackman would win hands down. Why don’t they have such an award? Probably because they couldn’t come up with enough nominees year after year. Sad but true.

Ava was adopted – I like to use it in the past tense form. The details of her birth should not define her.

I think it’s strange that some other celebrities who have adopted, the readers are often reminded of that, but not when it comes to Hugh Jackman. Does it really matter whether your child was created by you or your genetic material?

I think that it shouldn’t matter if she looks like her daddy, it doesn’t make him a better father or make mom and dad forget about their child’s birthparents. It doesn’t make him any less than what he is – a very lucky dad to have two beautiful children.

I love that even in a tuxedo, he puts her on his shoulders. He could have said no, he didn’t want to get wrinkled or dirty feet on him, but he did it anyway. Too cute!
