Felicity Huffman admits to being human

In a refreshing bit of honesty, Felicity Huffman recently worked to dispel the myth that she keeps it all together, all the time.  Mom to 6-year-old Sofia and 5-year-old Georgia — her children with actor William H. Macy — and star of a hit television show, Felicity admitted that she does, at times, feel overwhelmed.

Honestly, I don’t balance it.  I don’t juggle it.  I drop the balls and make mistakes like everyone else.  I move from feeling guilty about one thing to feeling unprepared for another.  I don’t have any answers.  All I do is understand the situation. 

The challenge of raising two daughters has left Felicity with a newfound appreciation for her own mother, as well as for her family in general, of whom Felicity said "my friends … my champions … they guide me."  The Desperate Housewives actress said that she would like to teach Sofia and Georgia, who served Felicity breakfast in bed on Sunday, "to listen to that little voice that speaks to us — our sort of internal truth — that sometimes we’re too busy or don’t want to listen to."

And I’d like for them to learn perseverance and to have faith.
