Solid gold: Maclaren introduces a gold stroller

GoldbuggyauA stroller that was designed to outbling other luxury buggies, the new  Maclaren GB Type Au boasts a lightweight, gold-colored carbon fibre-wrapped frame, black leather upholstery with gold stitching, mbroidered Maclaren coat-of-arms on the seat back, and a removable 9 carat gold pin on the cel phone pocket that can be worn as a brooch.  The stroller can be used from birth to 55 pounds, weighs 14.9 pounds, and has a 4-position recline. Other than the pin, there is no real gold on the stroller.

Only 20 of the strollers were produced and only six will be available in the US. The price has not yet been determined but the four strollers that were sold at Harrods went for £2,000 GBP each.  That’s US$4,284.92.

(Au is the symbol for gold in the periodic table.)

Which celebs do you think will snatch them up?
