Emmi Moelleken's first party
When Emmi Reese Moelleken, now 20 months, turned a year old back in September, parents Dayna Devon of EXTRA and plastic surgeon Dr. Brent Moelleken went all out. This month’s Cookie Magazine features a spread on Emmi’s ‘Old-Hollywood’ themed bash. Dayna explains,
My parents were the best, but they were both busy working. Sometimes things slipped. We sent out [ party] invitations late one year, so only one person came. I want [Emmi] to know that each year was monumental and magical.
The party began with Emmi toddling down her own red carpet, while guests snapped photos on children’s digital cameras.
The kids then dressed up, pulling glasses, boas, dresses, jewelry and hats from a large costume chest, and enjoyed the act of a Charlie Chaplin impersonator. After that, they had cake (which was shaped like a star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with Emmi’s name on it), and chose drinks from buckets of ice filled with juice boxes and sippy cups.
