Fifth child on the way for Oscar De La Hoya

Boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya, 34, and his wife Millie Corretjer, 33, are expecting their second child together. Millie surprised him with the news last evening after his loss in a fight, telling the press,

I think tonight is a good night to tell him. He has a lot to look forward to now.

Millie and Oscar have a son, Oscar Gabriel, 16 months. Oscar also has Atiana, 8, with Shanna Moakler, Devon, 8, and Jacob, 9, with other exes.

I also remember reading somewhere that he has a son named Devon, and that Atiana, Jacob and Devon were all born within like 18 months of each other!!!

- Esmeralda on

He has three children from previous relationships, not just two:
Jacob (b. February 18, 1998); Devon de la Hoya (b. November 30, 1998) Atiana Cecilia (b. March 29, 1999).

Wow — three kids within 13 months!

- Hilary on

I was confused about this too because on imdb.com it does say he had three kids within 18 months of each other, then the one with his wife and now another, which would make 5

You guys are all right, the post has been corrected!

- Misty on

Wow, that many children in such a short amount of time! They definitely have their hands full!

Does Oscar have anything to do with Atiana, Jacob and Devon as far as child support, being involved in their lives, etc.? I used to watch Meet The Barkers and don’t remember anything being said about him, but I did hear rumors that the reason Atiana wasn’t on-camera as often was because Oscar didn’t want her to be. I don’t know anything about the other boys.

- Lauren on

Good Lawd! He justs looks at you and you’re pregnant…

- Amber on

OK, now this makes me wonder. We watched the fight on Saturday night and on the back of his boxing shorts he had the names Atiana and Jacob…obviously two of his children. What about his other two though? How must that make them feel?

- KellyGirl on

WOW! OSCAR A CHAMP AT MAKIN KID’S BUT I’M NOT FUNNA GET THERE BECAUSE MY HUSBAND HAD 3 KID’S WITHIN 18 MTHS TOO.THEN 2 MORE 1 DAY APART.AND YES OSCAR DOES TAKE CARE OF ALL HIS KID’S IT WAS IN A INTERVIEW ON TELEMUNDO WHICH HE SAYS HE LOVES HIS KIDS TO DEATH AND LOVE SPRNDING TIME WITH THEM.

- cassy on

This is in response to KellyGirl’s comment about only having two of his kids names on his shorts. I saw that two but my guess is he has different shorts and he has his other kids names on those shorts. I know that Mario Lemieux (hockey player) had one of his kids names on each jersey that he wore and then he would rotate jerseys so each kid was with him a different night. I did a quick image search for Oscar and sure enough there was a picture of him fighting and you could see the end of the name Gabriel on the back of his shorts.

- Karen on

I believe they mentioned at some point during the course of his fight that he chose to have Atiana & Jacob’s names on his shorts because in other fights, he has had Oscar Gabriel on them. I’m not sure about Devon, though.

- Jennifer on

He is one of my favorite boxers, but as a person I do not like what I have heard through the years. While he was with Shanna Moakler he cheated on her and had Devon and Jacon from 2 different woman, and denied it until DNA proved he was the dad. He than went on to have Atiana with Shanna a few months later, and dumped Shanna for his current wife Millie and doesn’t see Jacob, Devon or Atiana. He was also accussed of raping a girl back in 1996/1997. So congrats to him and his wife, but I don’t like men that deny children and just keep having kids with woman left and right. Oh and Devon’s mother her name is Angelicque McQueen, and she is the great niece of actor Steve McQueen.

Hello… I hope to bring clarity to those who question the kind of father Oscar De La Hoya is.
I can only be certain of Oscar’s relationship with one, Devon De La Hoya.

Response letter from Oscar’s attorney after Devon asked to see his father…

Mr. De La Hoya has given serious consideration to Ms. McQueen’s request set forth in your letter dated December 27, 2005 that he visits with Devon.
Frankly, Ms. McQueen’s interference with contractual relations, and her on-going reckless harassment and slander of Mr. De La Hoya and the people close to him such as Mr. Schaefer, has hurt Mr. De La Hoya tremendously.
You can certainly understand why Mr. De La Hoya would be extremely hesitant to be involved in any aspect of Ms. McQueen’s life given these circumstances.
Ms. McQueen engages in such outrageous conduct, threatens to file a lawsuit for more child support, and in the same breath makes this demand. Please ask yourself if a sane person (who truly wanted such a visit to take place) would conduct themselves in this manner?
Please be advised that Mr. De La Hoya is not willing to schedule a visit with Devon at this time given the hostile environment which Ms. McQueen has created.
Mr. De La Hoya will continue to provide generous financial support for Devon and sincerely hopes that Devon is actually receiving the full benefit of that support.
Perhaps you would be willing to voluntarily produce Ms. McQueen’s income and expense records for the past two years so that we can assure Mr. De La Hoya that Ms. McQueen is not utilizing the child support for her own benefit.
Please advise whether Ms. McQueen will produce these records voluntarily.

On behalf of my son Devon De La Hoya I can only say that Devon would love nothing more than a chance to get to know his father, Oscar De La Hoya.

As painful as it is, Devon, and his requests for visiting his father, have all been denied.
For my response to the above letter… If telling people that Oscar’s treatment of Devon, is no better than how one treats a stray dog, is slander… I guess I am guilty.
If the truth hurts Oscar… Then change what is true.

OSCAR~ I PRAY FOR YOUR KIDS! I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE REASONING TO WHY YOU DON’T HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR INNOCENT KIDS FROM PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIPS. A GOOD WOMAN SHOULD BE ENCOURAGING YOU TO BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR KIDS, SHE SHOULDN’T EXPECT ANYMORE FOR HER OWN KIDS WHEN YOUR RELATIONSHIP FAILS. THEY DESERVE TO KNOW THERE DADDY IN SOME WAY,DONT TREAT YOUR OWN KIDS LIKE A STRANGER/FAN. ATIANA IS BEAUTIFUL & IS THE ONLY CHILD IN HER HOME WITHOUT BLUE EYES & HER BIOLOGICAL DAD, ALTHOUGH IVE SEEN IN THE PRESS TRAVIS TREATS HER LIKE HIS OWN,MY HEART FEELS FOR HER. YOUR MOTHER WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOU & WOULD BE HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH THESE KIDS REGARDLESS! YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO GET ALL YOUR KIDS TOGETHER ON EACH & EVERY HOLIDAY & IM SURE THERE MOTHERS WOULDN’T APPOSE.

- AC on

Oscar gives Angelique Mcqueen close to 9,000 dollars a month for his child and she spends it with her boyfriend Raj, they do not even pay rent and are being evicted, you can see the case in the Riverside County Courthouse. So, she should not play the victim.

- Manuel on

Leave them alone, obviously the kids had to go through a lot, so it’d be best to live on with your lives.
