Keri Russell talks cravings, end of pregnancy, and being surprised
As part of her media tour for Waitress, actress Keri Russell, 31, spoke to People magazine this week. Here are the highlights.
On being in the third trimester: I’m at the end now, so if any time is hard, it’s this part. Just being out of breath going upstairs; you eat a grape and you’re bloated!
On cravings: My one craving, which is boring, is yogurt. If I don’t have it once a day, forget it!
On choosing not to find out the sex of their baby: We’re being surprised [at the delivery]. I would be pleased with either. I think my husband secretly wants a girl…
On the reality of becoming a parent: I have these moments of ‘Oh God, I’m going to have this person around that I’m so responsible for!’ That’s what so refreshing about Waitress: it allows for those kinds of thoughts. As a culture we want pregnant women to have this idyllic experience, and that’s just not real.
