Keri Russell on what pregnant women are really like – and if she'll use a nanny
Actress Keri Russell, 31, spoke to Entertainment Weekly in their latest issue — after she had unbuttoned her pants — ‘Ugh. Non-pregnancy pants are the worst!‘ — about her role as a pregnant baker in Waitress. Keri says she really appreciated the way the character was written to acknowledge the mood swings of pregnant women.
I loved how precious she was. People expect all women to react the same to pregnancy. but anyone who’s been around pregnant women knows that its not all cutesy and sweet. You spaz out and you’re angry and you have tantrums. There’s a lot goin’ on!
Keri also discussed her return to more consistent work after taking a step back in the years following Felicity. When asked what this would mean for her soon-to-expand family, Keri said,
Shane and I are not the type to have a nanny…but I’m gonna have to get help if I work.
