Bryce Dallas Howard talks about her unorthodox early pregnancy

Actress Bryce Dallas Howard recently expressed great relief that son Theo, born Feb. 16, entered the world "totally healthy."  Unaware that she was expecting her first child, Bryce spent the first few weeks of her pregnancy shooting the blockbuster film Spider-Man 3 — and performing all the stunt work required therein. 

There was falling out of a building and being saved and all kinds of stuff like that.  A week after completing the film and getting married I found out I was pregnant.  Thank goodness everything was OK, he was just born and he’s totally healthy.

Although in retrospect she considers that time in her life "terrifying" and admits that she wouldn’t recommend performing stunts during pregnancy, Bryce noted that

Ultimately, at the end of the day, you’re totally safe.
