Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber play the name game

Although they have not yet agreed on a name for their baby due this summer, actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber can agree on at least one thing:  The child will not be named Liev Jr.  According to the father-to-be "it’s a terrible name" that is "probably the most mispronounced … in all of show business."

It’s bad enough that I have gone through that for 15 years. There won’t be any Liev Jr.’s.  You can’t really call anyone Liev.  You shouldn’t call one child that.

Name indecision aside, the pregnancy has been a time of great joy for Naomi, who admits that — at 38-years-old — her lifelong dream of motherhood has gotten off to a later start than she had originally envisioned.

I always thought I’d be a young mum.

Although Naomi battled morning sickness for four weeks early on in the pregnancy, and admits to currently feeling "crammed," she is looking forward to a life together with her fiance and new baby.

I don’t think I’ve been in a relationship where I’ve truly given myself, my whole heart ever before.

I happen to like the name Liev. But I am sure they will pick a cute name

While Liev isn’t exactly my favourite name ever, it’s imo at least an interesting one. But if Liev really hates his name so much (‘it’s a terrible name’, ‘you shouldn’t call one child that’), why didn’t he change it already years ago, before he became famous?

he probably kept it bc it is different and in the industry more recognizable. And some people don’t like to use fake names.

I don’t think Liev is that bad. But I think it would be cute if they actually gave the baby a plan jane kinda name and didn’t fall into the celebrity trend of naming your child something crazy and made up!

I don’t think Liev is that bad of a name either, but if he hates it, he probably assumes that others do as well and thus goes out of his way to let people know that he hates his name as much as they do (even if they don’t) as a sort of defense mechanism. Just a theory.
