Sara Evans completes parenting seminar

Sara Evans, the award-winning country singer and former Dancing With The Stars contestant, has successfully completed a parenting skills class that is required of all divorcing couples in the state of Tennessee.  Mom to 2-year-old Audrey Elizabeth, 4-year-old Olivia Margaret and 7-year-old Avery Jack Lyons, Sara filed for divorce from Craig Schelske — her husband of 13-years — in Oct. 2006 amid allegations of substance abuse and infidelity. 

The ‘Certificate of Attendance – Parenting Skills Institute’ was signed April 19 and filed April 25.

Poor Sara. I feel for her going through this divorce. I hope it is over quickly so she and the kids can move on with their lives.

More states should require that class.

I think parenting classes should be required for all couples with kids who are divorcing. So many times couples don’t think about what they are doing to their children while they fight it out.
