Kimberly Williams-Paisley on her beauty standards since baby

04/29/2007 at 06:58 PM ET

Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, 35, and her country star husband Brad Paisley, 34, are featured in ‘The Look of Love’ in People Magazine this week. Since welcoming son William Huckleberry in February, Kimberly admits her beauty routine has changed since her 2-month-old made his arrival.

I’ve lowered my standards since Will was born. We’re not high maintenance at all. We spend our time in sweats, and we’re lucky if we shower!

I was always pretty high maintenece. I never went out without some makeup and my hair at least clean!! After my first was born I tried so hard to maintain. But, it was really rough!! I would AT LEAST take a shower every day while she napped. IF we made it out the door to the mall or to lunch with a friend I at least wore powder and some blush to give me a bit of color. As she got a bit older I had a little more time to sometimes do more. But, then I got PG with my son when she was 9 months old and by the time he was born I had zero time!! The showers wen to every other day for awhile. And the only time I ever really primped was if we were going out someplace nice. Now that my kids are older I have time again for myself and to make myself look and feel my best. When they are young and you have them close together it is really hard to look and feel your best!!

I wonder where the name Huckleberry comes from. Besides the book.

That’s exactly where it comes from! Brad said they chose it because they hope he has a spirit of adventure like Huck Finn.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
