Jen Garner appreciates features she shares with Violet

Actress Jennifer Garner, 35, tells People in it’s Most Beautiful People issue that she and husband Ben Affleck have more appreciation for their features now, as they see themselves reflected in daughter Violet Anne, 16 months, as she grows. She said,

Violet looks like both of us. She’s somewhere in between the two of us. Ben and Ilike more things in ourselves that we now see reflected in Violet. To see mydimples in her makes me like my dimples because I share them with her.

In addition, Jen shared her favorite beauty product and what she hopes to pass on to Violet.

Violet is the most beautiful thing. Just that she exists and I get to hang out with her. I think that I can read her mind because I’m with her all the time. Then she’ll do something off the wall and surprising. There’s no one who is more fun.

I hope to pass on to my daughter my mother’s comfort in her own skin, which I think I got some of.

[I love] La Mer lip stuff ($45). My lips take up 45% of my face, so when they are chapped it’s not great. The stuff is ridiculously expensive, but it does last a long time if your daughter doesn’t throw it in the toilet, which mine did last week.

My boys and I have the same pointed chin, and widow’s peak hairline. And those are the same features that my dad and my grandmother both have too. It’s kind of a neat link to my family history.

I have boy/girl twins. My daughter is a spitting image of me and my son is a spitting image of hubby.

But personality-wise, it’s reverse. My son is outgoing like I was and my daughter is shy and sensitive like my husband was as a child.

My son has my cheekbones and bone structure, and we have the exact same chin. People have always teased me about how I have a ‘butt chin’ (it has a small cleft to it), but I think it is awesome that my mother, myself, and my son all share the same chin.

My daughter looks exactly like her father except she has my eyes and I think she has my nose, although her Grandmother would tell you everything about her is just like her father, which breaks my heart! I like to think we share more than her time in my womb. Another funny twist to the story, everyone says my Step Son looks exactly like me, which we dont and his mother and I dont look anything alike either!

I guess people just see what they wanna see really!!

I have my mother’s lips and now my son does too. Whenever he smiles at me, it really reminds me of my mother. I think grandma loves this!

My son has my huge brown eyes. I definitely appreciate my eyes even more since he has been born.

both of my boys have my insanely dark brown eyes… and I definitely like them much better after seeing my boys’ eyes.

Also… my oldest (the only one that looks like my side completely…) looks so much like I did as a kid and like my dad that it really makes me like the cleft in my chin and the shape of my eyes better.

Also, it’s funny to see how his ears stuck out like mine did… and watch him grow into them and see them gradually not stick out anymore… just like mine did.

With my daughter, it’s her mouth… it has her dad’s coloring, but my fullness… and I just love her expressions and her smiles.

Also, she has my hands, which are so long and beautiful at this age (mine were at that age, before I grew into them) and it’s so cute to see her use them.

They all have my dimples, which is so cute, as well.

I also love seeing my husband in my kids… whether it’s the way my oldest says something or acts, or a look one of the other two give me that is so dead-on like their dad, it’s priceless.

My daughter is a mix of me and my husband. She has my coloring, blonde hair and fair skin. She has my large round eyes and my personality through and through. She looks like my husband though. Everyone knows who her daddy is cause they look so much alike. I think it’s the fact that they have the same facial expressions. I’m hoping my next kiddo has his coloring though, darker skin and dark, wavy hair. They can still have my large round eyes and personality though. Well..maybe a little more laid back like their daddy but outgoing and fun like me.
