That’s fabulous, her whanau will be delighted. Congratulations to the two of them – they’re going to do just fine. :)

Congrats to them! They seem like a lovely couple regardless of their ages. I hope they enjoy every moment of their little blessing!

- Grayson's Girl on

The baby’s name is Felicity-Amore, according to People Magazine.

- Ginger on

I wish them well and look forward to seeing some pictures of their daughter. She is surely a beauty!

If she was born on Wednesday then it’s the 25th and not the 23rd.

- yaosa on

Congrats to them. Hopefully they release some pictures.

Given that several publications have jumped the gun on celebrity baby names I’ll wait untill it’s officially announced!

It has been officially announced – the name is what her publicist told People.

- Heavenly_hibiscus on

Well, good for her, I was dubious at first because they’re both so young, but she’s seemed very happy and excited all the way through her pregnancy and as far as we know she’s still happily with the father, that’s a good sign. And I guess she made plenty of earnings with Whale Rider, certainly enough to set herself up to support a child inititally anyway. Felicity-Amore is a pretty name I think, unusual but not so much that the kid would get mocked in the playground.

congratulations to them.

Anzac day isn’t actually a celebration – it’s a rememberance day for all those NZ and Australia have lost in war. It’s supposed to be a day of reflection – and it’s also a public holiday, which this kid might be more pleased about – day off on her birthday! :)

Thank you for all the comments, guys! I am glad you liked The Nativity Story and Whale Rider! We will be releasing pictures of our beautiful new daughter soon!

- Keisha on

I know that this comment will probably be deemed “mean” but I don’t know why we are glamorizing teen pregnancy. The only reason these people will not have as much of a hard time of things is because they are rich and will have endless amounts of help. I wish them well but I still think it sends a bad message to young girls!

- coffeygirlb on

I see what you’re saying coffeygirlb, and agree that teenage pregancy shouldn’t be glamourized, but the fact is there is a baby here now who shouldn’t be shunned, punished, or any less celebrated just because her parents are teens. She’s a blessing and should be treated as such. The act that got her here might be an issue, but she herself is NOT. No reason people can’t celebrate her life, her presence and the joy she’ll bring. What’s done is done, Keisha doesn’t need to be shunned or crucified and the baby doesn’t either.

- Grayson's Girl on

No, we are not glamorizing teen pregnancy,
but celebrating the birth of a new life.
Congratulations to them. I love the name!

I also loved Keisha in the Nativity Story.

- Karen on

I just wanted to say Congratulations to Keisha and Bradley, and as far as her being a bad role model for young girls, I’m a young girl, I’m 14 and Keisha is my role model, however I am not so dumb to think that I should have a baby now that my idol did, I simply want to be an actress and she has always inspired me to do so. Congratulations again, what a beautiful name, my grandmother said it means faith and love, good luck!

- Mariah on

*Sigh* Here we go.

In her culture, girls get married and have babies young. Therefore the “teen pregnancy” stigma does NOT WORK in this situation. It would be the same as shaking a finger to the women in the 50s who got married and had babies right out of high school. That was the reality of their culture, therefore it was not frowned upon. Same situation here.

- Jadine on

It is NOT in Keisha’s culture to have babies young. it was many years ago but it isn’t now. it is no more common or accepted than teen pregnancy in any other group in New Zealand.

That said congratulations to Keisha and Bradley on their little girl.

- Sarah on

WOW!A Baby girl.I wish the two of them luck.
Keisha Castle hughes is my all time favorite acctress. she is my idol. but I don’t plan on getting pregnant at 16. whats done is done and we should all make the best out of it. so congrats on the arrivel of Felicity – amore!

- AAB on

Some of you are talking like having babies in your teen years is strictly a NZ thing and nothing to do with the US!

Look around you.

- Dizz on

I had my first child at 20, and I was scared, but now I´m very happy.
Congratulations to them!!
