Sorvino-Backus family goes grocery shopping

Actress Mira Sorvino, 39, carries her son Johnny Christopher King, 10 months, while husband Chris Backus, 25, pushes their cart with daughter Mattea Angel, 2, in the front as the family grocery shopped recently.

She also looks like she is wearing a Hooter Hiders nursing cover in Mayfair.

Good catch! I’ll add it.

I have a question about Mira’s son, it might be a bit sensitive but still could be an issue for CBB since she’s an “older” mom.

Does Mira’s son Johnny have Downs Syndrome?

He sort of looks like he may, based on the photograph above, and with Mira being 39 yrs old it is also a strong possibility.

If he doesn’t, that’s fine and pardon my ignorance/curiosity, but I was just wondering if anyone knew.

No, he doesn’t.

Don’t Pampers Swaddler diaper only go to Size 2? I would think a 10 month old would be too large for Size 2 diapers. All of the babies I know were/are!

I thought so too, but is there another Pampers style that’s in a yellow package?

I disagree with the assertion that Johnny isn’t Downs Syndrome. There are several DS babies in my family, and Johnny has all the characteristics. Perhaps the family has decided not to publicize the fact, but I believe the statement that he is not DS is incorrect. Given the small size of many DS babies, that might also explain the yellow Pampers.

What characteristics does he have? We thought he just has heavy eyelids like mom – like here – http://www.celebrity-babies.com/2006/11/mira_sorvino_an_1.html.

Plus Mira is pretty open about chatting about her kids, seems like something she might have mentioned? But you’re right, they could be keeping it private. It’s just not something we believed he had.
