Custody of Dannielynn still up in the air

A Bahamian court adjourned Friday with no decision being made yet as to who will get custody of Anna Nicole Smith‘s daughter, Dannielynn, 7 months. Anna Nicole’s mother, Virgie Arthur, reportedly wants  joint custody of Dannielynn. Though Virgie calls Larry Birkhead- Dannielynn’s father – “a good guy,” her lawyer said that shestill intends to fight for joint custody of her granddaughter. Debra Rose, attorney for Virgie said,

We intend to proceed on that application unless something elsecomes along that causes us not to have to take that course of action.

Larry said Tuesday that he does not intend to share custody with anyone but,

I have no problem with anyone that has good intentions being allowed tovisit the baby and see the baby and be a part of the baby’s life.

Everyone will be back in court for another custody hearing on Friday.

Is it just me or is Virgie taking things just a little too far? I mean really–she doesn’t talk to Anna in 10 years, Anna certainly wasn’t shy about saying how much she DESPISED her mother and wanted Dannielyn to have nothing to do with her and all of a sudden she acts as if they had this great relationship and Anna would be happy with her havin a relationship with her granddaughter when everyone knows that’s a crock! Me thinks Virgie smells the money…and it makes me sick–she has no right to sue for custody–NONE…Anna didn’t even want her SEEING Dannielyn and the least Virgie could do is to let Anna rest in peace knowing her wishes are being carried out…UGH…this little girl has enough on her plate–let her be with her dad and stop all this INSANITY…

Why is Virgie doing this? Why in the world does she think she’d get custody over the fully capable, obviously caring, biological father? She won’t. She should have just made friends with Larry, and I’m sure he would have let her have visitation. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that would keep Dannielynn from her other family. Afterall, that is the only link left to her mother. Larry is a good guy. He’s not going to deny them of knowing each other. Virgie is just making things awkward. Her actions seem to indicate she is in this for the money.

that is absolutely ridiculous. the parent gets custody. i understand howard limited virgie’s visitation with dannielynn, but she is taking this too far.

The reason she’s doing this is that Bahamian law is a lot different than US law and she’s taking advantage of it. I’ve heard Bahamian law favors the female, hence Virgie smells the money coming in.I hope Larry stands up to her and doesn’t give in. And when he takes her to the US he can renege on the decision and take it to a US court which is much fairer.

this is the first pic of the Dannielynn where i can see more of her mommy than her daddy in her, she is an absolutely gorgeous little girl, and I believe that she has a daddy who really loves her and wants the best for her!

God this Virgie is really annoying, and the sad part is IMO she is doing it more for attention than for the baby. First she wanted Anna and Daniel’s bodies removed and bought to Texas, and now this. Meanwhile Anna said right before she died plenty of times, how she couldn’t stand her mother and she will never see her daughter. Larry is the father he should get his daughter, and Virgie needs to go away. Dannielynn is a beautiful baby I see Larry in her, but some Anna too.

Vergie is taking this a little bit to far now that they know that Larry Birkhead is the father just let him have Dannielynn and they can move with their lives. When that Baby dos grow up and is able to realize she is goin to wonder why she had to be put through so much drama. Birkhead is goin to be a very good father. He was really excited to find out that he was Dannielynns father so just let him and Baby be they will a very good family. Wishing them the best of luck my prayers go out to Larry and Dannielynn.

All I can say about Virgie wanting custody is MONEY!! She doesn’t seem to want Dannielynn as much as she wants the fortune. Larry, however, has wanted Dannielynn and nothing else for months. Now that he has her, he should keep her, regardless of her fortune.

Am I the only one who finds it strange that Larry Birkhead is only referring to Dannilynn as “the baby”?? He obviously cares about the child but why doesn’t he call her by her name? Something just isn’t right with him (and I’ve been one of his supporters from day one) or any of the others wanting custody of Dannilynn.

Arrrrrrgh. I’m SO SICK of Virgie! If it wasn’t for her, Larry would have Dannielynn by now! Arrrrgh. That evil hag! She was a horrible mother to Anna, so she doesn’t deserve any of the rights of a grandparent! Dannielynn’s been through more than enough: losing her brother, then her mother, then being a target of gold-diggers (the multiple men who claimed to be her father, as if it were the hottest new trend), and now she’s being kept from her real father. That’s just the icing on the cake! What scares me is that Larry believes that she’s well-intentioned. Poor Larry’s just too nice. He forgave Howard so easily, and now, when he gets custody, he’s going to let that horrible woman have access to Dannielynn. Larry seems so easy to take advantage of. Certainly she’s going to try to manipulate him.

Cassie Larry has called the “baby” by her first name many times. Look at Adam Sandler he never has once called his daughter by her name usually he says, “that kid” but it doesn’t mean they think any less of the children.

and Virgie has no right to that baby. Anna did not want a relationship with her nor did she want her children to have one…she needs to back off and let Larry be a dad. And as far as I’m concerned I’d rather see Howard a part of her life then Virgie. She’s just doing this to spite the rest of them and it’s not fair to Dannielynn.
