Penelope Cruz hopes to adopt

While being interviewed by Spanish Marie Claire for it’s May issue,  Penelope Cruz, 32, was posed the kid question – does she want any? She said,

Of course I want to have kids. I want to have my own kids, but also adopt. For awhile I’ve had the feeling that my life won’t be complete if I don’tadopt.

I really wish that when people talk about adopting and having biological kids they wouldn’t refer to the biological kids as “having my own kids.” Giving birth to a child is not what what makes them your own child, raising them and loving them is. I wish Penelope the best, but I hope that is she does adopt a child and give birth to a child that she treats them all as “her own.”
