Speaking out about her pregnancy for the first time, Naomi Watts acknowledges her belly was probably the worst-kept secret at the Oscars, but she kept the news on the down low because she had a lot to worry about, still being in her first trimester and in the throes of morning sickness. Those days, though, she says, have since passed.
It is true that I am pregnant. It’s a little frightening talking about it. This is the first time that I have said it out loud to a journalist. You know, I kind of wanted to keep it private because there is just so much to worry about. I had morning sickness for four weeks at the beginning and I feel congested which is linked to my pregnancy, but otherwise I am at the ‘glowing stage.’
Naomi and Liev Schreiber are expecting their first child in late summer.
