Billy Ray Cyrus' son thinks his dancing is embarassing

Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus may be winning over America with his new dancing skills on Dancing with the Stars, but his son Braison, 12, is actually embarrassed over Dad’s new dancing hobby. Braison said:

It’s embarrassing. Very. But, I got to meet Clyde Drexler! He was very nice. He signed my card and a basketball.

Billy Ray talked about how he loves playing basketball with his son but his time is limited now due to his grueling practice schedule for Dancing with the Stars. Billy Ray said:

We played a lot of basketball before this. Now he seldom sees me because I’m always at practice. If they kicked me off the show tonight this boy wouldn’t have cared because he would have gotten his daddy back. But if something happens to Clyde this boy would be in tears. He and I both! We love Clyde.

Billy Ray has three other children, Christopher Cody, Destiny Hope (aka, Miley), 14, and Noah Lindsey, 7.

That’s the problem with Clyde; it’s a dancing contest not an NBA game. Its drives me nuts when people vote for someone because they like them. Forget about whether not they are any good. It’s time for Clyde to go home; dancing is not his strong suit. And he is so mismatched with his partner, he needs someone taller. It’s too painful to watch the bad dancers, let’s get back to the ones that are entertaining to watch.

I think its cute what Braison said. Most kids do think their parents are embarressing and I fully understand why Braison sees Clyde as a “celebrity” as he is a Hall of Famer. I admire Clyde for his effort on DWTS same as I do all the other stars! Great article, only thin is you left out Billy Ray’s oldest child, Christopher Cody Cyrus.

I too as a child was embarrassed by my parents at one time or the other, however that did not mean I did not love them. I know that Billy Ray loves his children and they love him and that is all the matters in the long run. BTW, GO BILLY GO!!!

Ha!! Hey, I have kids too, and when I dance, or sing, or even kiss their daddy, they say it’s embarrasing! It’s a kid thing. However, I think being yourself around your kids, or taking on new things is something they do or will appreciate in the long run.. Billy Ray is a great influence. Billy Ray is doing wonderfully on Dancing with the Stars..hope he keeps it up. Enjoy seeing him each week, and is one of the reasons I watch the show.

As a great grandmother I can understand Braison being embarassed by his dad dancing with another woman other than his mom. That is what he mean. My kids always said their dad and I were embarassing them if we even held hands in public. I thought it was cute and sure he is proud of his dad no matter what he said. I hope that Billy Ray keeps improving and goes on for many weeks.

I’m glad Braison got to meet Clyde, he seems like a nice guy. Two of BR’s children were not mentioned…Brandi and Trace. I am sure they are all proud of Billy Ray as he is of them. I am rooting and voting for Billy Ray to win and I am NOT embarrassed to say so, LOL!!

I really enjoyed reading that! I used to embarrass the heck out of my son just like my parents used to embarrass me. I guess it is part of the ‘circle of life’. I am sure all of BRC’s kids are rooting hard for him to win just like all of us BRC fans are. The show has been fun to watch so far and BR isn’t going to be going home anytime soon!
