Rumor: Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham plan to launch kids clothing line

Update: CBB reader Posh Fan tells us Victoria has denied this story.

Originally posted April 4th, 2 am: Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes have been spending lots of time together over the past year and it looks like that is only going to continue. Britain’s Daily Express Newspaper is reporting that these two stylish moms are planning on launching an ever-so stylish kids clothing line. A source close to Victoria and Katie said,

They are both really excited about this new project. Katie recently sketched out some designs for a party dress for Suri’s first  and Victoria saw there was the potential there for the two of them to come up with some great designs. As they are both mothers who love fashion, it couldn’t have been more ideal for them.

Since Victoria and her family-husband David Beckham and sons Brooklyn, 8; Romeo, 4 and Cruz, 2-moved to Los Angeles, her and Katie have been attending many fashion events together.Katie’s daughter, Suri will be turning 1 this month.

I do like Posh’s style and think she would come up with some really cute designs. I really don’t like Katie’s style at all. She dresses too old for her age. But I would be excited to see the kids’ line.

I wouldn’t waste my hard-earned $$$ on anything put out by these two- especially dressing my kids in any of their designs, which will no doubt cater to the uber-rich just the same as VB’s denim range. It will be interesting to note what VB comes out with for little girls- though- no doubt sheer tops, ultra-minis and tight skinny jeans… I’m sure loads of US moms will be lining up for that!

Love this site BTW. Ok, a clothing line for kids designed by two celebrities? This could yield some cute things! My only concern would be price-point, availability and clothes that are made for all four seasons for those of us who live in the Northeast.

Hi there! These two women are pretty famous moms and I for one will be excited to see what they come up with in regards to children’s clothes. My kids are a bit older than theirs but are always fashion conscience so I hope that they plan on making clothes for older kids too!

For the time being I will continue to shop at Sandbox Couture for children’s clothes. I can also get stuffed animals for my daughter and some baby gifts too for my friends young children. You all should check this one out as well. Lots of good stuff to be had here!
