Pax Jolie's birth mother speaks out

British Newspaper News of the World allegedly scored an exclusive interview with Angelina Jolie’s new son’s birth mother, Pham Thu Dung. Here are the highlights.

On giving Pax, 3, up for adoption, Pham had his to say:

I am not his mother anymore because I abandoned him. I saw his face in the newspapers and I wanted to recognize him but I couldn’t. He was a stranger to me. I wanted to forget all about him but it hurts so much to see his face and hear about everything that is happening to him. It brings all the pain back to me. My dream is that one day he’ll visit me and call me mother. But it’s only a dream, I know it’s impossible.

On an American movie star adopting Pax she said:

I want to see my son again and tell him I’m so sorry I had to give him away. I am very happy for him. I hope he has a good life now. He is better off with the movie star because I am not a good mother. I wasn’t able to take care of my baby.

On her hope of seeing Pax again she said:

I realize I am not capable of looking after him. I can’t even feed myself properly, let alone a baby as well. I only eat one meal a day. I just hope one day I will see him just to see how he is and looks. I want to know that he’s ok and that his new mother loves him.

Pham also talked about her Heroin addiction. She had this to say:

I really want to give up. I know drugs might kill me. If I can manage it, I will live a normal life. I really miss my grandmother and my family. I want to sort myself out and go home. But until I can give up drugs, I know I can never go home. I know my father is angry with me and I know the neighbors will laugh at my family. I don’t want my son to be ashamed of me when he grows up.

Hours after meeting with News of the World, Pham was picked up by police and escorted to her family’s home. A friend who was with her at the time told the paper that her parents have been ordered to keep her there or she faces jail-time.

She couldn’t afford to feed herself more than one meal a day, but she could afford heroin for her addiction? It’s a good thing she thought enough of her child to give him up. Now he will flourish in his new environment. I just hope they don’t put her all on the news like they did David Banda’s father. I’m pretty sure they will offer her money for more stories. That’s sad!

Is this story legit?

Oh good gracious. I’m tired of the media going after the birth parents of babies that celebrities adopt. Leave the birth parents alone, and leave Madonna, Angelina, etc. alone to raise their children.

I wouldnt believe anything printed in US magazine. It has become a tabloid. And News of the world? It is worse than the Enquirer.

I agree with MB. Even if true, the media should just stop. Are they trying to keep others from adopting? Pax’s mother left him when he was just a couple of days old. Never tried to contact him or see him and never got in contact with the orphange when they were trying in vain to contact her. There is more to being a mother than giving birth.

I was waiting for her to come out and talk about the adoption. I’ve “heard” through various media outlets that Pax’s maternal grandmother did an interview warning Angelina that her daughter would “attempt” to get her son back or something along those lines. She also mentioned that Pax’s biological mother is on Herion addict, so as far as I know the story is legit. I give Pax’s biological mother praise for her understanding and attempting to let go of her son due to her drug addiction. I suppose only time will tell if she decides to contest the adoption. I hope she gets the much needed help.

Are you kidding me? There’s no way this story is true! It’s a British tabloid! Wasn’t there a false story years back about a publicity hog claiming to be Zahara’s birthmother? Besides, I think it’s impossible that someone can afford heroin but not more than one meal a day!

I must say Im dissappointed that CBB chose to print this…
The story is unfounded and so was the Zahara Grandmother story too..

People looking to make a buck!

Shame on you.

Wow not sure what to say. Who knows if its true but if it is it would not suprise me. At least she realizes that he is in better hands.
