Drew Barrymore no longer feels pressured to have a family

04/03/2007 at 08:25 PM ET

Drew Barrymore, 32, was recently interviewed by Glamour Magazine, where she was asked whether she had a great yearning to have a husband and children. Here’s what Drew had to say,

I always thought I desperately wanted a husband and a big family because I didn’t have it growing up. But now that I’m 32 and in a prime position to welcome that into my life, it’s not what I want. Eventually I would love to be the Griswolds and go to amusement parks and drive a wood-paneled station wagon and eat dinner at the kitchen table. But right now, I have this big family made up of my friends. My house is always full of people.

Mom Said It

"I had to make a decision that I could sleep with every night. I did feel responsible for the young girls who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn't trying to glamorize teen pregnancy."
