Annabeth Gish shares thoughts on motherhood with fans
Actress Annabeth Gish, who along with her husband Wade welcomed their first child, Cash Alexander, on January 12th, wrote a note to fans who sent her (she turned 36 on March 13th) and baby wishes. It reads,
Thank you very much for the (as yet again) beautiful book of wishes. So many of your messages were taken to heart as they congratulated me on the best gift I’ve recently received: a healthy baby boy, a son, a marvelous son.
I feel blessed and amazed by this new life that has joined ours. Cash is already such an addition of spirit and color to our life that it seems hard to remember what life was like without him. So far, motherhood is a sleep-deprived blur of joy, shock, surrender and heart-opening love. Wade and I are growing into our new responsibilities – fumbling every now and then with the new tasks and the patience required of each of them. Hopefully we will do well by him.
We are off soon to start shooting the second season of Brotherhood. Wade, Cash, Lola and I will be in Rhode Island for this upcoming Spring and Summer. I can’t wait to get back to work with the cast and crew, although I kinda feel like I could wait awhile too, just because I’m digging this motherhood thing – far more than I even imagined. It is nice that I can do both, work and be a mother with Cash right there with me. But no doubt it is going to be quite busy, quite challenging!
