UPDATE: Fourth child on the way for Balthazar Getty
Update 2: Balthazar’s rep tells People, "They’re thrilled to be adding to their brood." Balthazar recently told the magazine,
I love kids. I love having a big family. I think the more the merrier – big happy home of, you know, little punks running around.
Update 9 pm: Here are more highlights from Balthazar’s USA Today interview:
Balthazar, great grandson of late oil tycoon John Paul Getty who founded the Getty Oil Company, is slowly familiarizing his children with their distinguished legacy. He recently brought them to the Getty Villa museum in Malibu and will bring Cassius to Greece to visit his father, J. Paul Getty III, in the summer. Still, he says, they aren’t very affected by their fortunate lifestyle and are very much normal kids.
The kids obviously know they have some privilege in their life and are able to do lots of neat things. But painting markers on their face is their idea of art.
They may be face painting with some of their famous friends. Cassius, Grace and Violet enjoy playdates with Banjo Patrick, 3, and Adelaide Rose Taylor, 21 months and Liam Flockhart, 6, children of Balthazar’s B&S co-stars, Rachel Griffiths and Calista Flockhart, respectively.
Another frequent guest at the Getty home is Balthazar’s best friend of 16 years and Cassius’ godfather, who is none other than McSteamy himself, Eric Dane.
