Moby Wrap: Carry your baby in style

Chocolate_wrap_croppedDanielle (as in Celebrity Baby Blog’s Danielle) firstintroduced me to wraps when my daughter was already 6-months. I was animmediate convert and fell in love with the Moby Wrap. Yes it is a bitdifficult to figure out how to tie it at first, but once you have done it a fewtimes you become an expert at it. Also, since the wrap is stretchy and has aslight give, you can keep it tied all day long and pop baby in and out ofit.

The Moby Wrap is currently available is 10 vibrant colors -black, navy, forest, indigo, red, moss, natural, lilac, sienna and chocolate. Theyalso recently released the Moby D, a high-end wrap with a center panel that is made from fleece, handwovencotton or Asian brocade.

The very first Moby exercise DVD that is a collaborationwith yogi Anna Getty (www.annagetty.com)was also recently released. Moby is represented in a section on doing yoga withyour baby.

Brooke Shields is a fan of the Moby Wrap and has been quotedas saying that “the Moby Wrap is perfect and so comfortable. Rowan loves it andMom’s back is not as twisted.” She wasalso photographed in In Touch magazine wearing Grier in a natural Moby Wrap.

I LOVE MY MOBY!!! This is the greatest wrap! It’s so comfy that I’ve worn may baby for 6 hours in the mall. And he’s 19 pounds! It’s awesome because unlike other carriers, it distributes the weight evenly between your upper and lower back and your hips. It’s also very easily adjusted. It’s my favorite travel carrier too. It has given me more freedom in airports to have my hands free but also have my baby close and not touching all the nasties that are in public places. Also, the Moby D has some beautiful colors in silks. Did I mention that they are very reasonably priced? They can also double as a blanket, nursing wrap, spit up towel (they are very washable), or to put over the carseat while they sleep. The best! Can you tell that I’m a fanatic?

I had my baby in the summer, and the Moby was horrendously hot. I am also 5′ tall, and the Moby is too much material for a short person- it is so heavy. Hated it, and so did my baby.
