The Jolie-Pitt boys take a nap

Maddox Chivan, 5, takes a snooze with his new little brother Pax Thien, 3, in Vietnam earlier this week.

We were asked to remove the scan. Images can be viewed in People Magazine on Friday.

Thanks to Bola for this sweet scan from Hello! Magazine.

That happens to be one of the sweetest photos I have EVER seen. I am so glad they are already getting close. They are going to be great brothers and very close.

OMG how CUTE! I am so glad her adoptions work out so well for her. My cousin has had such a hard time with adopting older children. I love this picture.

- Elisabeth on

Now THAT is a sweet picture! Gave me goosebumps!

- Stephanie on

That is so beautiful. Brought tears to my eye! Bless that sweet family…

- Mandy on

They are even beginning to bond in their sleep. Such a sweet sweet photo.

- Linda on

That is so cute. It reminds me of a book I read called The Waiting Child. It’s a story about an older child (I think she was 4) who was adopted from China by a family who already had a six year old child – and every night they would fall asleep holding hands. Hopefully having Maddox around will make it easier for Pax to adjust to his new life – sometimes children warm up the fastest to other children.

Gorgeous photo!

so beautiful. . It’s wonderful these little guys have bright futures ahead of them!

Very cute pic amazing how much they look like each other. Makes me feel good that little boy has a nice home to go too. Plus having kids around is going to help him so much. Like someone else said Kids do warm up to other kids faster then adults.

one of the most beautiful photos I have seen!! Love it!! Just precious!

Awwww, this is a great pic!! What a great family.

What a beautiful photo! It brought tears to my eyes. I have a similar picture of my two boys when they were 2 and 5. It melts my heart.

- Sarah on

Its an amazing sign of how good parenting Angelina begin and Brad has added to. The photo of Zahara and Pax sitting together eating out of the same dish is amazing also.

- SiervaMaria on

This seems really a little too close for comfort. How would someone obtain such a photo? It’s lovely but it feels a little intrusive.

Angelina allowed a photographer to capture the moments in an attempt to both drawn attention to Vietnam and lessen the price of photos of Pax. So we assume it was taken by the photographer in their hotel, with Angelina’s permission?

- Vera on

Maddox is a great kid. He is clearly friendly and accepting of other children. It’s nice because he is the oldest and was Angelina’s first, so he could be very possessive and territorial, but I think this pic says it all. So sweet.

- editorjax on

*tear* Awwwww. Precious. Just indescribably precious.

How long until Pax has a funky hairdo like his big brother? ;)

- NausicaaofWind on

Looks like a high powered lens shot through a window to me. Check out the sun/glass reflection on the left side.

That’s not from a window reflection, it’s from the scanner and where the page fold in the magazine is. The photo is part of the People/Hello photoshoot that will be available on Friday. This is not a paparazzi shot.

- teenyz on

Lovely, lovely, lovely pic! Madd seems a wonderful kid, very easy with the younger ones, very sociable. Having been alone with mummy for almost four years, he could be jealous, have a bit of the “only kid syndrome” but he is well adjusted and even protective. :)

- MK on

So sweet! These are 2 of the cutest little boys ever.

But I do have a question. Why do people on her consider 3 to be an “older child?” To me older would be 6+. It’s that age range that has the hard time getting adopted.

- C on

Yeah, this isn’t wh*ring out you kids or anything? You guys are a bunch of 17 year old Loons incapable of understanding anything about good parenting. Of course, some of you are most likely already pregnant!

you are sheep eating out of the hand of the devil!

- theAntiLoon on

I think they’re cute kids but I do think the photo seems a bit contrived. Also,I understand the earlier pictures but what purpose does a picture of them sleeping have? Didn’t they have enough pictures of Pax to show the world? I neither like nor hate Angelina but I just wonder what she was thinking when she allowed this picture!! I wonder if it was her idea or the photographer’s?!?

- Deb on

OMG what an adorable photo!! So lovely to see them bonding like that. Look at Pax’s little hand on his brother’s and wrapped around his teddy… so sweet. And I love Mad’s little mouth open, he looks adorable. It must be such a comfort to Pax to have siblings at this time as he’s used to having kids around him at the orphanage.

SO CUTE. I love this family!

- Anna on

I saw the picture earlier before it was removed and it truly was a beautiful photo. I bet little Pax will probably end up having the strongest bond with Maddox. I think it’s adorable the way they were curled up so close and they even look a little bit alike… that could be a very comforting thing. So sweet….

- Rachel on

Adorable! So wonderful to see all of the children together bonding so sweetly.

- Allison on

I think it’s a gorgeous photo and when my children get bigger I hope to capture such a moment. But if I did capture such an intimate moment I don’t know that I would offer it up to the world…for my children’s privacy. Children sleeping is such a private thing (anyone really…you’re so vulnerable) that it seems like such a strange decision to offer that precious moment for the public. Why not keep it a private family memory?

- augustmoon6075 on

Why are so many pictures needed of Pax, when he is just adjusting to his new life. I mean even a picture of him sleeping, what’s the purpose of that. There’s already other pictures of him in people magazine, not to mention everyday now for the rest of his life he will always be in pictures. Just seems like the poor kid is barely getting a chance to adjust, and it’s all about pictures and publicity less than a week after he was adopted. And it wasn’t until recently that we really saw a clear picture of Shiloh, after months of them covering her face.

- gabriella on

Well, even though it’s been removed, I did happen to see both photos of him with Maddox and with Zahara, when they showed them on various E! News and other stations. I think both photos are sweet, and it’s great to know he’s already building relationships with his new siblings. I’d hate for him to have too much of a struggle transitioning into his new life.

But I loved both photos. They’re great shots. :)

- FC on

I loved seeing the pics of the boys napping. I see nothing wrong at all with it. Cant understand why some would. Maybe because it disproves all those who said Maddox would feel jealous of his new brother, or that Pax would not bond for a while. Ive seen pics of other celebrity babies who were sleeping. And I think it smart of Angie to have the pics shown now to try and lessen the demand of getting that first shot once they get home. The press will still be interested but this does help ease the frenzy. Plus it gives attention to adoption and the needs of orphans.

BTW, Shiloh’s photos were in people mag when she was only a week old.

- leni on

^ I am with you. I see nothing wrong with this photograph. This picture has been talked about loads on fansites saying that it is not right for pictures of the kids sleeping to be published…Then the next day the paps snapped a sleeping Maddox and Zee and no one seems to have a problem with that. Now I’m confused.
